About This Game

Le Château (French for "the castle") is a tiny city builder, mostly about showing creativity with limited resources and limited space.

Great for when you've got little to no time, but you have this itch to play a game.

Make your kingdom as small as 1 tile, or as big as 11x11 tiles, and enjoy the aesthetics of several different color palettes.

 • ⬜Multiple world shapes

 • 🏰Dozens of different types of objects to choose from

 • 🎨6 different color palettes

 • 👑Complete control over the size of your kingdom

 • 🤼A world that slowly comes alive as more tiles are filled

 • 🐸Frogs

Le Château has no real goal. Just lots of freedom in building the kingdom of your dreams!

Delivers what it advertises. Simple functionality, but effective at providing the cozy building. The achievements give a little direction and rewards with new buildings which is fun. You'll know almost immediately if this is a game to keep in your library. Plan to unwind with it, and its quick to start the fun. A little feedback at launch:

I wish placing a tile doesn't rotate it to the next object in queue. I found myself placing the same tile pieces consecutively very often, whereas the next item in queue was seldom the one I wanted next.
I see no way to change the background color to one I'd prefer, without going Menu->Reset. I think it would be nice to have an option on the background because you'll be looking for a bit.
Very relaxing and great experience. Controls are simple and unlocking all the tiles is really easy to do. Definitely a great way to wind down when you just want something nice and easy.

It's a charming, chill game of letting your mind free to build whatever you feel like. The achievements are excellent - some you aim for, others you discover while playing. Completing achievements is important because they unlock new tiles but always easy! The music is charming throughout If you like Dorfromantik, Townscaper or Cloud Gardens then you'll love this!

good little game, found through tiktok and bought it spite another content creator who was begging for a free key. I play games to get 100% and was very satisfied with the dopamine beepboop noises. Would be nice to have more quests maybe? or needing paths for houses and being able to place paths in gates/arches. But ye would recommend neat little game, can build cute water things (please add corner river tiles)

Very cozy game almost zen like. Beautiful atmosphere with the music and very nice pixel effect aesthetic. Pretty much endless possibilities you can make with how large you can increase the terrain. Every click is satisfying too, much OJ.
First impressions
Cozy feel good game, definitly worth its price. There's no goal, there's no requirements, just do you and enjoy the setting!
Possible improvement suggestions
- To have a better understanding of what can be build it would be good to get some visual overview (a list view mayhaps?) of all the items rather than having to go through the one by one with the directional or Q/E keys. - Better support for large screens. Full screen on an ultra wide is supported through the menu. But you can't recognize anything of the pixelated items. Maybe increase the amount of pixels for the sprites on higerh resolutions or just advise against using higher resolutions?

Very chill experience. Build a diorama of a castle scene, observe your little people walking around, and mostly just vibe with the relaxed nature of the game. It won't take long to unlock all 18 achievements as they are very easy to obtain. Zoom in to see things in a bit more detail, or enjoy the view from farther out. Just a real chill game that is nice to relax to.
