peak souls 2 clears roll slops 3
As a former hater back when I played the SotFS version for only like 3 hours, this gets way too much hate it's the most fun you'll have playing a souls game. Like yes the bosses are complete ass (I still have 2 DLCs left but idk if finishing them will change my mind) but that's not all there is to the game the rest is sooo fun. They had to have poached HL2 devs or someshit because the interactive parts of the game are the most fun. I just ziplined thru a fucking dragon castle world in the middle of the sky like what are we even talking about. Plus the NPCs and their voice actors are the best I've heard in any souls game. The areas (except Shrine of Amana and The Gutter fuck those places) are all fun and surprisingly kinda beautiful even for this version which is a fucking 2014 PS3 game, especially Drangleic Castle, Aldia's Keep, and ofc Majula. You'll see a view at the end of Aldia's Keep and before Dragon Aerie that will blow your mindddd. Plus the story is great. Make sure you sit...
Dark Souls II was my very first Soulslike, back when I didn’t even know “Soulslike” was a genre. I only made it halfway through before quitting and eventually forgot about it. Years later, after falling in love with Dark Souls III and then the first game, I finally returned to DS2—and it hit me like a wave of nostalgia. When I realized this was the game I started with, everything clicked. And honestly? I fell in love with it all over again. Yes, DS2 has its flaws, but it also feels like the boldest of the series—experimenting with new ideas, mechanics, and an incredible variety of weapons, armors, bosses, and areas. Its story sits a little outside of DS1 and DS3, yet somehow feels just right, carrying a distinct vibe unlike any other entry. Majula remains my favorite hub in the entire franchise—peaceful, melancholic, and unforgettable. The world may not interconnect as seamlessly as Lordran, but it still offers unique, memorable zones and fun surprises like recurring min...
ts game so ahh
DS2 > DS2 SotFS > DS1 > DS3
One of the most underrated fromsoft titles in history. Far better than the community makes it out to be. Great for speedrunning as well
Overall a very good game. I feel like your experience changes a little bit depending on what kind of build you use, but there were only a few sections that I could consider to be "bull". Music was good enough for most of the game but there are definitely some very good pieces in the soundtrack. The only real complaint I have is that the end is just a little bit stretched out. It feels like that had some ideas and just decided to throw them in at the end.(they were good areas, but they just felt a little bit extra). Just as a warning, don't be fooled. DO NOT play the Scholar of the First Sin edition of the game. While it had some improvements, most of the enemy and item placements were worse in that version, whereas the first game only had a few section with dumb enemy/item placement. I rate 8.5/10 don't skip this entry regardless of the hate it gets.

It gets fun after you finish it and can play other games.
