I JUST GET SO CRAZY WHEN PLAYING WITH KITTY CATS!
A Bust-A-Move clone that is actually quite entertaining if you like these kinds of games. At release the game had serious issues with the controls, due to it being a phone game first, but the developer added alternative controls and a fix for color-blinds within 24 hours of it being mentioned on the forums. Also, I will never ever play level 5-21 again. Ever!
Cranky Cat offers a new twist on the marble-shooting, bust-a-move genre, and it does it well. Instead of firing spheres upward, they float in from the sides and slowly gravitate toward the center of the playing area. The player can (and has to) rotate the "board" to match the marbles. Three or more of the same color will remove them from the board, which then causes now loosened marbles to bounce off and gravitating back, which allows for quite spectacular and fireworks-like combinations. There are numerous special marbles, such as the traditional bombs, and power-ups, like those that remove all marbles of a specific color. The game includes hundreds of levels in the story mode, and it also features a variety of endless/random modes, with the "lightning" mode perhaps being the most enjoyable one. There are also Steam achievements and local highscores. The only feature I've been missing are Steam leaderboards, but this aside, this is a fairly enjoyable, fast-paced (at least deeper in...
It's alright for a bubble shooter, but I feel it's almost overly complicated. While the game mechanic itself is easy, it's also a little clunky (which I guess kind of suits for a steampunk type game?). All in all not as fun as I thought it would be, and I'm glad I didn't waste much on it. The graphics are ok, but the game itself ... eh -shrug-
That was about a dollar's worth of entertainment, which iirc is what I paid for it. I'm pretty sure people who like puzzle games more than I do would enjoy this.
Interesting game I never played before. Some of the levels does require you to use the mouse and keyboard at the sametime for faster turning, sometimes the music may glitch out and play when you have it muted, and the way the bubbles are placed may not be what you expected, but can get addicting, especially the Hot Potato and Survival modes (although the difficulty does increase rather quick for those two). The game's story is okay, the pictures are humerous on their own, but it's there to have some context for the game nothing else. The music is okay, but can get rather annoying when it's constant fading, silence, then a new track. Reminds me a lot of Dumbo circus music in a way for some... ----- Check out more games I see that deserve more attention from my curator group: BluePaw's Underrated Games List Join and/or follow if you wish.
This is one of the greatest games in the universe. I hope they will send it by a radio signal to the space. I've bought it just to check if my credit card was working properly. I like goat cheese.
Nice. Better than Boros and far better than the dreadful Raycatcher.
