Honestly didn’t expect much from this. Thought it was just another flashy Soulslike that looks good in trailers and plays mid. But man… I was wrong. A few hours in and I’m completely hooked. The combat is super tight, the atmosphere pulls you in, and the boss fights? Absolute bangers. I’ve played Elden Ring, God of War, all that and this holds up. Maybe even better in some ways. You can tell the devs poured everything into it. The way they showcase their mythology, the world-building, the details… it’s not just a game, it’s a love letter to their culture. As I said , didn’t expect much, but it ended up being something special. You can feel the heart behind it.

My Only Regret is not buying this game sooner ! Black Myth Wukong is just perfect, the amount of boss fights is ridiculous & almost all are perfectly crafted and polished. The music, atmosphere, the cinematics during these fights is just absolutely astonishing. The story is so interesting, after beating every map end boss, the story progresses in form of chapters & u get this really cool animated cutscene that teaches something regarding the story of the lands you visit or people you meet, then you are met with this artistic masterpiece of a painting that displays all the deeds you did within that land and it's history, u can even zoom in and explore every part of it with an interaction that has a voice over to tell the story of each piece on that painting. It really is an innovative aspect. Moving on to graphics, it's really cinematic, and jaw dropping, walking around and hearing the ambience, while watching the trees move, leaves flying around, it really made my jaw drop same w...
Black Myth Wukong - A Stunning Journey to the West - 8/10
I was quietly excited for Black Myth Wukong when I first heard about it in 2023. What would eventually become my first experience with Unreal Engine 5, and all of the visual fidelity that comes with it; let's just say, these expectations were exceeded. Everybody talks about how stunning the game is, with good reason. This has been one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had within gaming so far. While the requirements are fairly demanding for this title to get the best out of it, you can really notice the extraordinary level of detail put into the environment, lighting and overall presentation. It struggled on my 2060 Super, but when I replayed it on my 9070 XT, it sat comfortably at about 90 to 100 FPS. The combat was a learning curve for me. Having not done any souls-oriented combat until this title, it took a while to perfect my timings with even basic enemies, and get used to the non-forgiving nat...
I know the game was released back in 2024, but I started playing it in early May 2025. I had heard so much about it......there was a huge amount of hype surrounding this title & after finally completing it, I can confidently say: every bit of that hype was real. From the moment I stepped into its world, this game pulled me in.....the story felt deeply immersive, almost as if it was unfolding with me rather than just in front of me. The way it weaves mythology with raw emotion and philosophical undertones really struck a chord....the fighting styles, the transformation mechanics, and boss battles are all crafted with a level of polish. The game play is phenomenal & incredibly satisfying....every combat encounter feels intense and skill-based. But what really stayed with me was the music and storytelling, especially through the game’s cinematic sequences and promotional videos. The hauntingly beautiful score elevated every emotional moment and brought a sense of gravity to the...
In this fantastic Souls-like inspired by Chinese novel Journey to the West, the game world is gorgeous, combat mechanics, good graphics, exploration, great boss fights, requires mastery various skills, spell and transformations. Absolute Peak
This game is incredible, an absolute masterpiece. this game is just the right amount of hard, but I will admit that in the beginning its gonna suck. it does take some getting used to, but after like 3 ish hours or beating the wandering wight, it gets a lot better. I would suggest player this game through twice so you can get back at the bosses that took you forever. if you have played any souls game (especially Sekiro) you will absolutely love this game. 10/10 game would play.
absolutely love this game! way longer than i thought and very challenging!
Great Game! Definitely one of my favourites. This game has everything you need, great combat, story, mechanics and transformations. This game has many little things which makes it more amazing like transformations not the playable one but the other one's. You are turned into an insect or bat throughout the scene and its fun which makes the game even more versatile. Combat styles are different. Another thing that i loved is how they've added something new in every chapter. It can be a transformation, a spell, accessory. Basically you are never bored of anything and it doesn't feel repetitive at all. There is a lore after everything chapter and it's really mesmerizing. Sometimes it's anime style, some times stop motion. UFF SUCH PERFECTION!! I find the music of Chapter 2 the best. How the guy plays and sings. It's all so enjoyable. The best part is the SECRET ENDING. Such CINEMATIC. It's a must play! And the final BOSS FIGHT! SAVAGE!!!! The little things in the last boss fight...
Black Myth Wukong is an ambitious and visually breathtaking action rpg. Its combat and boss encounters stand out as real highlights, while its world-building rooted in Chinese mythology gives it a unique, authentic flavor. Didn´t like that some of the bosses and quest were missable but that made me stroll into NG+ for new quests and challanges or like Destined One would say "I want to fight someone really, really strong!" 10/10 would recommend !
Really good game that has many layers of hidden content and multiple boss fights that u can easily miss
