About This Game

NOCTURIA is a short but intense first-person horror game that immerses you in the overwhelming darkness of your own home. You play as a defenseless 4-year-old child who, under the seemingly ordinary circumstance of waking up at night to go to the bathroom, is tormented and cornered by entities with a dark secret that you must unravel as the night progresses.

 • First-person short horror story
 • Lot of jumpscares
 • Solve puzzlez in shifting rooms

Experience terror from the perspective of a vulnerable child, intensifying the feelings of helplessness and fear. The first-person perspective fully immerses you in the nightmare, making every shadow and sound a potential threat.

Will you be able to survive the night and unveil the dark secrets lurking within your own home?

In the middle of the night, when your parents decide to go out and leave you in the care of your older teenage sister, you find yourself embroiled in a new and terrifying adventure. But this time, it will be much more intense than usual. It could even be the last one.

The game's narrative masterfully combines exploration, chilling events, and increasingly complex puzzle-solving. As you explore different areas of your home plunged into crushing darkness, you'll gather clues about the former inhabitants and unravel a terrible mystery, including the fate of one of them... But be careful, the monster is still loose.

Pay close attention to every detail and sound; they will be your only guides in the night. Objects and furniture may change places, leaving you trapped and disoriented in your own house. Use the elements you find around you—they could be your best allies to survive the night and discover that not everything is a product of your imagination.

Nocturia is an absolute diamond in the rough when it comes to horror games. Often overlooked due to its mixed reviews from earlier versions of the game, Nocturia has truly evolved into a much more polished version of its former self. Nocturia offers some of the scariest moments and best jumpscares I've ever experienced in an indie horror game. Although its not a relatively long game, Noturia absolutely packs a punch in a short amount of time offering a compelling narrative, good puzzles and a truly terrifying tone without overstaying its welcome as many indie horror games often do. I HIGHLY recommend Nocturia to any fan of the horror gaming genre as it was easily my favorite horror game of 2023!
I didn’t expect much from this game, but it really surprised me.
For an indie title, it looks fantastic and managed to scare me several times, which is hard to do! Although it’s short, it immerses you in the atmosphere and delivers scares at just the right moments. It reminds me of ChillArt: ambiance, puzzles, and fears. Give it a shot!

First off the jump scares in this game are so good!!! It starts off as a little boy who just has to pee and it turns into a literal house of horrors! To be honest idk how the kid didn't pee himself 😂 but in all seriousness there are a few bugs and the lighting could be improved in some areas but overall money well spent. Can't wait to see what the Bros ha e in store next!
After a year or so of keeping my eye on this game, I can happily say that i can now recommend it, although hesitantly.

Please keep in mind this is an early access review and will be altered as the game progresses to its full release. I recognise that my initial review of the title may have come off as aggressively negative and perhaps deterred others from picking it up. THIS REVIEW IS NOT A JUDGEMENT OF THE FULL GAME
The idea of the story is novel, a child accidentally uncovering an old murder case while trying to go to the bathroom at night is a weird and unique premise, and I absolutely adored Among The Sleep, another game in which you play as a small human. The demon child looks appropriately creepy, and I will also admit there is one scare in this game that sent me backwards in my chair a bit. The timing and execution of it goes to show the developers know how to make a competent horror game, but it's still a little messily put together. After m...

Much better than some other horror games and had some decent jump-scares! Great for streaming.

I enjoyed this game, it really made me jump off my seat! The only thing to note is that the puzzles can be a bit tricky to figure out sometimes, specially towards the end and some part of the games are way to dark. However i had a great time playing it. Here is my playthrough on YouTube, dont mind the screams XD https://youtu.be/YxlEFYxGics?si=u2b0X3RRLSlercMf

Pretty good, nice jump scares, puzzles are a bit obscure/dumb but overall good little game.

I am a fan of indie-horrors and I recommend the game. I liked it a lot. I played early access version, and naturally there were some bugs. As you can see below - developer responded and fixed those. Suggest you try Nocturia yourself!

Nocturia The Game is good BUT... Its still in Early Access meaning its not fully done. I had a good time with it with the spooks, jump scares and the over all atmosphere. The design of the ghost and monster was creepy enough for me to continue with its scary story. The main thing that I had trouble with was the puzzles, well to be fare the first one I was just not using my head. Lets blame me being sick hah. The last puzzle was the main one that made me wounder if the game was glitched or bugged. It wasn't really giving a good understanding on how to get the codes you need or at least hinting at it. In the end I worked it out but just barely by guessing the last number. After editing my video for YouTube I realized you need to activate the "icon locations" before anything will start happening for the last puzzle. I say again its in Early Access and I understand that it still may need more work. I suggest work out someway to make this more notice able for what you need to do for the...

Could be a cool concept, but the game is WAY too dark. I couldn't figure out what to do next and I was clipping through walls half the time. I stopped playing after like 10 minutes because there was zero guidance on what to do/where to go and I couldn't see more than 2 inches in front of me.
