About This Game

Immerse yourself in Astrometica, a space exploration and base-building survival game.

After an explosion at a mining space station, you awaken inside an emergency pod adrift in the vastness of space. To survive, you must harness your skills, explore the endless universe, and search for other survivors’ emergency pods or outposts.

Space Exploration:

Experience the thrill of exploring the vastness of space with cutting-edge technology. Navigate through asteroid belts, mysterious cosmic anomalies, and abandoned space stations using a variety of vehicles specially designed for deep space travel. Discover hidden secrets and uncover the mysteries of the cosmos as you chart a course through the unknown. Every corner of space holds a new discovery, whether it's a new resource, a signal from another survivor, or a piece of lost technology waiting to be found.

Base Building:

Build and expand your own bases across the stars. In Astrometica, base building is key to your survival and exploration. Construct modular bases to serve as safe havens, research facilities, or resource gathering outposts. Automate mining operations to extract valuable resources from asteroids and deposits. Design your bases to be both functional and fortified, ensuring they can withstand the harsh conditions of space and potential threats. As you explore, you'll unlock new blueprints to further enhance and customize your bases, making each outpost uniquely yours.

Mining and Tools:

Equip yourself with a variety of tools to mine for essential resources and salvage valuable materials. Craft and upgrade tools like drills, mining lasers, and scrappers to efficiently gather resources needed for survival and expansion. The more you explore and mine, the more you uncover rare materials that can be used to create advanced technologies and powerful equipment. Your tools are your lifeline in space; maintaining and upgrading them is crucial to your survival and success in the unforgiving environment of deep space.

Scanning Environment:

Utilize advanced scanning tools to survey your surroundings and discover new blueprints and technologies. When you come across other survivors' outposts or wreckages, use your scanner to analyze fragments and gain insights into new crafting recipes and tech upgrades. Scanning isn't just about finding new gear—it's about piecing together the story of what happened and understanding the universe around you. With each scan, you get closer to unraveling the mysteries of Astrometica and finding the means to thrive in space.

Astrometica is more than just survival—it's about exploring the unknown, building a life among the stars, and uncovering the secrets hidden in the vast cosmos.

The game has potential, but it has a very very long way to go. I just can't recommend this game in its present state. The current story is non-existent. Anyone telling you "the story is great" has no clue what a story looks like. There's a premise. There's a concept. But there is no story to follow. The environment has potential. Subnautica-style base building in space has some appeal. But this game doesn't pull it off with any originality or creativity. It's like the devs literally said "Hey let's do it just like Unknown Worlds did". All the way down to the handheld construction tool that draws crafted resources from local storage to craft buildings and objects that snap. Overall the gameplay balance is way out of whack. Granted its early access, but by this point there's shouldn't be 500 million iron nodes and 12 nickel nodes. A lot of balancing work is needed. In the absence of any meaning story to follow, you're left buzzing around a 2-dimensional design of a 3-dime...

No They need to sort the save game issues out. I have never played a game that bricked the game until now. Complete waste of my time.

Definitely an "Early Access" game. There is a lot unfinished, but what is available is great and it has a ton of potential for being an amazing game in the future. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Imagine Subnautica in space. It feels similar to that, but now think of it as a passionless re-skin. No animals. Lifeless. Harvesting resources and crafting is a button-mashing loading bar. Movement feels awkward, except the jetpack which feels okay. Even scanning feels artificial compared to other games. You'd think Subnautica in space would sound fun. But it's awkward and boring. If there are entities to interact with later in the game, I doubt they are interesting or anything but clunky after witnessing the first hour of this game. I haven't seen any EA game undergo the radical changes this would have to go through for me to enjoy it. If you like all the bland survival games that keep coming out, you'll like this. Otherwise, find something better.

This could be a really great game. I have 76 hours in it with several play throughs, but suddenly my save games have been corrupted. I play awhile save the game log out. When I log back in everything I'd done previously was gone. Not only is everything I built gone, blueprints are gone as well. More over, the locations to get the blue prints are gone as well, so all my time was wasted. If they ever fix this issue I'll play it again, but until then I wouldn't waste your time.

A bit tough at first as you are pretty immobile and vulnerable to oxygen, thirst, and hunger. After a few hours of play, that starts to get better until, it is at most an inconvenience. Play just like Subnautica, one of my favorite games ever so this game is recommended. I dunno how finished it is or how long to major updates, but it has to be better than Valheim.

This isn’t a bad game, but it’s definitely not a great one either. It feels like a simple reskin of Subnautica, just set in space. The world feels very empty — there are almost no enemies, NPCs, or even alien creatures like the diverse wildlife you’d find in Subnautica. I get that it’s still in Early Access, but right now it feels like there’s nothing to do and no real storyline to follow.

Kinda fun to build your own space station. Been having a blast playing this game.

So I actually bought this game mostly for the soundtrack, which is stunning. At first, I enjoyed my time with it, but the longer I played, the more bored I became. I thought reaching the second area would bring something new, but it turned out to be more of the same with only a few extra elements thrown in. I was excited to warp to a whole new zone, only to find the same old “smelted mineral packages” everywhere. Filling up limited storage with items that feel no different from what you find at the very start just seems pointless. It’s like: “Oh, where does this passage go? A new room! What’s in here? Oh… just more smelted mineral packages.” The story, which is entirely text-based, feels scattered and doesn’t really lead anywhere. Without voice acting, it comes across as lifeless, adds nothing to the world-building, and constantly breaks the game’s flow. In Subnautica, you could play audio logs while continuing what you were doing, and the voice acting gave the world...
