Stop this always online BS. Give us a fucking offline mode. The multiplayer features are bare bones, and are just there to justify the predatory store that had a game built around it.

If you buy this game because you heard it's a good Single Player campaign with a flawed end-game and might be worth picking up for the story alone - be warned: In a way, you heard correctly, the game has a very well crafted Single Player campaign with lots of content that is worth exploring, there is just one problem: If you play this game as an RPG on your first playthrough including all the very well made side-quests you may encounter, the game will become laughably easy if you have any experience with the genre and know how to use synergies. I used no guides whatsoever and haven't played another Diablo style game in half a decade and I ran through the second half of the campaign one shotting every single normal dungeon boss and defeating story bosses within seconds. The game prohibits you from increasing the difficulty mode on your first playthrough beyond a certain threshold that is far too low. This severely diminishes the quality of the experience you are going to have. I ha...
Fun little ARPG that doesn't require a PHD in Autismology to make a good character.
It is Diablo. People will complain. People will play it. Some will love it, some will hate it. I like it, look at my hours. It basically is a game I play because I have played Diablo since the original came out back in the 90's. It kills time and I don't have to think too hard. Brings back memories of playing Diablo 2 with friends of mine that are no longer with us or got a stick up their butt because they hooked up with some lame gal that told them how to be so they could get laid and they vanished.
Constant lag while playing alone is unacceptable.
Got a 1Gb/s fiber. Ping to battle.net is 2ms on average. Yet when playing Diablo 4, average latency is around 70ms and quite often it lags so hard that its unplayable. Screw you Blizzard for forcing me to connect to your shi*** servers when I just want to play a single player game.

Ignore the haters. If you invest into the system this game has to offer it has hundreds of hours of gameplay, with tons of stuff to do. Each season brings a new theme and game updates, and despite the big devil not making his appearance yet, I love the story. Mephisto is a very compelling villain....or is he? Anyway, try it for yourself. Despite my 100 hours on here I have another 300 on xbox. I'll be playing this for many years to come.
I wish i could flag this game recommendation as "maybe". If you like the world of diablo then you will likely have an advantage in recommendation. With that said lore heavy fans could also be turned off with occasional story choices. It can be mindless fun to a degree but with other options available (and cheaper) like Grim Dawn, Path of Exile 1 and 2 I can only really recommend this if you like the world of sanctuary already AND it's on sale.
such a beautiful game. good mechanics, nice casual gaming on normal level. my review is based on having played D1 when it came out, so Im still stuck with early Diablo games as benchmark. obviously this one blows away all the older ones. so much art in it. it just be 1000s of artist hours to make. i appreciate that.
