Risk of Rain light (lite). Very light. Played with an xbox controller. What you need to know: 1. Very zoomed out (you can zoom in from the menu) platform shooter. I zoomed in 1 step. 2. Levels are hand crafted. Rogue-like comes in the gear you find and which levels you encounter including if you encounter stage bosses. 3. Between run progression is there where you buy permanent upgrades. 4. Jumping and using repel does a downward smash that kills any mob directly beneath it. Very handy for turrets. 5. You have 8 upgrade slots that you can change at will, so be strategic. 6. Spells are limited use but don't be stingy. You can get beat down quickly by a few enemies. It's a quality game with just a few rough edges the dev seems to be smoothing out. I'm surprised there are not more games in the style of large areas with tiny sprites. I appreciate always being able to see what is shooting at me. It makes some precise movement difficult which is why I zoomed in 1 step, but would work real...
