Interesting concept, generic execution. Tales of Seikyu is yet another fantasy life sim on Steam with no real hook of its own. Visually, it is indistinguishable from Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma, which isn't a good thing when one is a finished game and the other is yet another Early Access promise. You might argue that this game came out first, but alas life isn't fair, and one is, still, a finished game. The game's differential comes from its story; You and your [strike] pet [/strike] sister return to a village built by your ancestors to find out more about your fox demon heritage. Once there, you're given a bit of loredump and is quickly given both personal goals and conflicts spanning the disappearance of your lineage. It's REALLY GOOD and a breath of fresh air compared to the usual 'nondescript whitoid is isekai'd into a farm where everyone is more interesting than he/she will ever be' you'd find in these games, and the overall way it is presented (in text, at least) i...

As an avid fan of games like Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Harvest Moon, I have to say I'm very impressed with what's here so far and have enjoyed playing Tales of Seikyu. I've already clocked around 30 hours of gameplay at the time of writing this, and haven't fully unlocked everything within the game or completed a full in-game year, which I think is reflective of the fairness of the price and the amount of content available within the game. I could go on and on about this game, but here are the main points that come to mind:
Pros:
♥ Intriguing Story: In the first five minutes the game grabbed my attention with these two siblings traveling from an outside area alluded to be more urban to this teeny tiny seaside town in search of both their parents and the key to helping them get back their transformation abilities, which have mysteriously trapped the main character in their human form and the MC's sister in her fox form. I was ho...
Tales of Seikyu is your next cozy obsession—with a magical edge! Dive into a stunning world where farming meets folklore, and you can transform into mythical Yōkai to unlock wild new powers. Customize your homestead, romance quirky villagers, battle mystical bosses, and celebrate vibrant festivals. It’s Stardew Valley meets Studio Ghibli, and it’s absolutely enchanting. Don’t sleep on this gem!
This game is so cozy... looking forward to see more characters ( to romance ) :> And can't wait for the character customisation soon!
First off, this game doesnt have alot of content right now, but i dont see a reason to badmouth a game that i enjoy, unless they stop working on it. I enjoyed the content so far and really hope they keep working on it. The main story and the (only) dungeon in the game were cleared in my playtime when posting this review. (about 6 hours) and 12 ingame days. You got combat, farming, transformations, relationships, crafting and you can expand the facilites of the village. But almost everything feels about 20% done. The farming was mostly irrelevant, you only get a fairly small patch of farmable land (unless i missed something), the transformations are basically only for traversing. They are pretty useless in combat (unless you cheese the last boss of the dungeon with it) Getting tools to mine and log took longer than finishing the game. The forge is currently in the process of being created. I really liked some of the events, the carp event was fun with the rhythm game, if it werent f...
If you like games like Stardew, Field of Mistria, Research Story, and especially Immortal Life this is definitely the game for you.
This game so fun! can't wait to future update XD
Very cute! Love the game so far and can't wait for the next updates. I came for the feeling of community and simplicity and wasn't disappointed. Still a little buggy and missing a few basics (some sounds, a few typos, etc), but that's why it's early access! Definitely recommend it if you enjoy Harvest Moon/ Runefactory type games.
love it so far
So far the game is really nice, I am having some issues with frame rate dropping but otherwise, it's a pretty solid game already despite it being in early access. The developers seem amazing as well as they're consistently allowing player input and working on suggestions that're being made (even changing current characters after player feedback.) Really excited to see how this game progresses!! :)
