Dokapon Kingdom: Connect

May be my favourite "party" game of all time. Most of my playtime is on Switch but the PC version allowing multiplayer over internet with no real latency issues is a 10/10.

I hate this game so much. I played through the entirety of the Story mode with friends 3 separate times on the Wii, each easily over 100 turns. I made Excel sheets compiling gear stats, chest unlocks, and other niche information such as the damage bonus of +30% for using a weapon for your class is applied after all damage. I witnessed to a stupid amount of statistically improbable events happen that drastically altered the game, like surviving a killing blow 7+ turns in a row, twice. I hate this game.

There are those that say Mario Party is the game that breaks friendships. Then there are those who say 100% Orange Juice is the true destroyer of friendships. Neither of these can even compare to the absolute cruelty Dokapon Kingdom is capable of, actual merciless RNG hell that is so overboard that it becomes comedy. In one session I we had to get Roadblock Rocks from an underground cave and back to the castle all the while avoiding death, it was like a war and friends were on the verge of ragequitting until we finally got through it. In another session I had the power to teleport people to any random spot even where overleveled enemies are, except I also had a Town Warp in my hand and accidentally used it instead of Squall and ended up killing myself in the Brazil of Dokapon. This game is amazing for those that can avoid getting salty about the absolute BULL **** that can happen.

i cant believe how much time this game has sucked out of me, it's so addictive

This was my favorite game on the wii, and I played it so much on my switch on the release of Connect. FINALLY i get achievments.

Loved the original still love this game and now i finally have way more friends to play it with (hopefully they stay friends my gf is threatening to take my towns)
