Murdered: Soul Suspect

Completed in 9.5 hours, wanted to do full achievements but once you start the finale map, you can't go back. So complete all achievements before entering the museum (last map). It was fun while it lasted.

Murdered: Soul Suspect is... weird. At a glance it has an intriguing story, unique concepts, and very solid acting. However, the gameplay is incredibly shallow for a game with a genuinely amazing concept at it's core. You play a ghost detective with a criminal past, investigating crime scenes and following clues. Cool right? You might think you get to possess people and use them to help the case? Nah, you just read their minds. Well what about cool ghost combat? There isn't any. You just press kill behind monsters. Ah but he's a detective, surely the puzzles and investigations are through and interesting? Eh. I mean some of it is cool. But a lot of the time it's just walking around a room very confused looking for a single clue that isn't visually noticeable at all. Honestly it feels like there's just a lot missing, either cut or just incredibly shallow. Take his criminal past for example, the game starts somewhat strong, with his tattoos and moral reform being explained in series...

Game is incredibly boring and repetitive and the voice acting is subpar. i'd only get this when it is in on extreme discount sale, otherwise avoid it.

I love the concept of a Detective who is a ghost with a medium sidekick.

This has always been by far one of my favorite games to play and replay. I loved it so much that I tried to find more of what they did but found that soon after they were bought out. great story, fun play, a hoot with history. I only wish they made more!
