Ernesto's Asteroid Arcade

10/10, an excellent game to pass the time. Perfect for Steamdeck and ROG Ally. Low power consumption for when you're stuck on a plane or in a gulag. Has humour and personality. Harder than Dark Souls or being 2SLGBTQIA in Russia, but that could be because much like life in general, I'm no good at it. I will certainly remember it as one of the games of all time.

Definitely one of the games of all time I rate this game 69/10 because magic talking anglerfish. plus it is pretty fun to dodge all these obstacles with the different ships.

Far too simplistic, there's not enough going on for me. You avoid and shoot the asteroids in a 'floaty' ship to one easy-listening background track.

Asteroid Arcade is surprisingly deep. Play the endless mode to upgrade your ship, and then play the story mode to read quirky jokes. "I'm proud of you." Those who finished the game will get this. Controller friendly.

(Will update as I go along) Although I have only played the first 3 missions, I'm really enjoying the game so far! It is simple, yes, but new aspects have been added in each of the 3 missions I've done so far, and the game is just the right amount of challenging. The music too is amazing , perfect for relaxing as an anglerfish called Ernesto takes you through the game. Great little game for the price. Edit at 1.1 hours: The developer seems to have injected their game with liquid fun, I legit cannot stop playing. HIGHLY recommend :D

now THIS is gameplay

Decent but basic arcade shooter. Worth the price, but probably won't hold your attention for very long once you've beaten story mode. Pros: -funny writing in story mode that actually effects the gameplay in fun ways. -smooth shooting that feels good. -game constantly has new ideas until the end. Cons -Kind of repetitive once you've seen everything. Powerups are way too rare so they don't keep the gameplay from getting stale, there's only one song, and different ships don't play that differently. -The game balance in general is pretty whack, constantly oscillating between too hard and too easy depending on the mission, your ship, and the current Endless configuration. -Too much visual noise, causing you to often take hits that you didn't see coming. Overall I enjoyed the game, and I imagine that it will get better as xen adds more content to it.
