My favourite childhood game, I remember watching Stampycat play through both acts, besides Ni no kuni this was my favourite play through to rewatch of his. This game is so nostalgic and beautiful. Its polished, aesthetic, clever, and doesn't require a million hours to perfect. I recommend everyone play!! :))

I really enjoyed the story but marking a thumbs down for one of the worst puzzles ever. If you ever played Fallout 4 and did that stupid block puzzle that seemed really out of place in the DLC, well, this is pretty similar. There's also a lot of distracting plot holes too that don't make a lot of sense. I probably would have ultimately given it a thumbs up if not for the hexagon puzzle. Neat story concept and fun twist, if albeit requiring serious suspension of disbelief. And whoever designed the hexagon puzzle... who hurt you?

For whatever reason I never finished this game when I first bought it (on release). Played it from start to finish now. I really liked the art style. The cast of characters is varied, with great voice acting and funny dialogue. I enjoyed the puzzles. Some are quite neat, but I was never completely stuck (for long). Story wise: The first half has a mystery aspect to it that that drew me in, and in that respect I don't think the second half quite holds up when the proverbial "veil" is lifted. It feels a bit rushed, in a way. I do recall production was troubled, with several delays, and the release being split in two parts, so I suspect that has something to do with it.

I first played this game on my iPad when I was 10 years old and now that I have adult money I spent it here because of nostalgia. Coming back to it after years I have a greater appreciation for the voice acting and art style. Broken Age has a deep story line which has been more impactful to me now that I'm older. It touches on some heavy themes but doesn't hammer them on your head as you play unlike some point and click games. I've seen some comments about the game crashing but I've had no issues. 100% recommend this game for anyone looking to spend hours on an intertwined tale of two people trying to escape their circumstances. I won't say much so I don't spoil anything but just know that if you've ever felt lost in life, you'll relate to and thoroughly enjoy Broken Age.
