For a 1 week session after a break up, I experienced a father and son journey. At the end I was shocked, I'm not under my breath. But I completely forgot my break up. May the gods bless me.

Ass compared to the previous ones. You will spend 6+ hours playing as Atreus listening to cringy disney style story-telling. The first GOW I ever put down before finishing.
Although the story may not be as intense as 2018 , it's better in almost every other aspect(except atreus ironwood part). Valhalla DLC was amazing and Santa Monica did an amazing job with this masterpiece.
Having recently played both God of War and God of War Ragnarok, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey of Kratos and the evolution of this iconic series. However, as a massive fan of the series, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia for the original God of War games. These classics laid the foundation for the series we love today, and their unique charm and gameplay mechanics deserve to be experienced by a new generation of gamers. Releasing the original God of War titles on Steam would not only allow fans to relive those epic moments but also introduce them to newcomers who may have missed out on these masterpieces. The original God of War games are timeless treasures that deserve a place in the modern gaming landscape.
I consider the last two God of War games to be the gold standard for story-driven action RPGs. It's very rare that I feel like there's nothing I want to remove or add to a game, but that's exactly how I felt about God of War (2018) and this one, God of War Ragnarok. You are constantly in a state of flow, because the game regularly throws something new at you, but it doesn't do so agressively and doesn't throw everything on you at once, as open world games do. I really like the concept of small open locations and metroidvania elements - I've loved it since the Batman Arkham series, and God of War satisfies me completely in this regard. To be honest, after remembering Batman Arkham, I realize that God of War has a lot in common with it: both in terms of gameplay and narrative, including the main plot, secondary characters, and lore. I think many will agree with me (if we disregard the fact that Ragnarok is more naive and childish in places). Strangely, I don't really want to talk abo...
Masterpiece of a game, the story is amazing, and it is a really great continuation of the franchise overall. The combat is pretty cool, and rarely feels unfair. But the segment related to Ironwood drags on so long that it goes from 10/10 to 9/10 through my sheer impatience
Great game, but deadly freezing every hour and this is common issue that devs dont want to fix for months 4070 ti, Ryzen 9 7950X
Was really excited to play this game after the first one, but apparently it has had a persistent launcher issue since the game dropped that the devs have given up on fixing. I guess it hasn't effected enough people for them to care, but for a small subset of players the game will not launch. My PC is plenty strong and I spent hours troubleshooting it without ever getting more than a black screen. Extremely disappointing, and there hasn't been any news for over 4 months on a fix. A great way to spend 10 hours watching steam install the game.
amazing game. great visuals soundtrack and story. combat just falls very flat. the enemies arent made with kratos` moveset and the camera in mind. the difficulty of the enemies is very artifical because of the anti bullying measure implemented where enemies suddenly game hyper armor. dinky humans with dull swords that can resist a blow from a god that can send another god flying with there punches? that doesnt feel right.
It is a really fun game to play, there are a few PERSONAL issues that make this game not as fun to replay new game+ on higher difficulty (Atreus part). But overall, I recommend giving this game a try!
