Its a nice game, however if i knew about the downsides of it i'd never buy it again. Some quests and puzzles were not logical or hard to find. The ending of the game was disattached a little bit from the general concept of the game. I am disapointed. There were so many empty rooms which just made the game look longer. Sorry but Scratches was much better.

About This Game
From the creators of cult sleeper hit Scratches and the haunting Serena, comes a chilling journey into the darkest depths of your mind.
ASYLUM is an ambitious first-person horror adventure casting you into the hallucinatory setting of the Hanwell Mental Institute. As an ex-patient suffering bizarre visions, you must explore the intricate layout of the building, research its past history, and march towards a shocking conclusion.
With influences ranging from Peter Cushing to Lucio Fulci, ASYLUM has been meticulously crafted with a strong focus on storytelling and atmosphere. Visit countless tenebrous environments, make your way through a towering, lifelike mental hospital, and solve compelling puzzles to find the answers you seek.
We poured our heart and soul into creating an involving and endlessly rewarding adventure. If you love the kind of slow-burning horror with an old-school sensibility that creeps upon you, ASYLUM will be an unforgettable experience.
A mind-bending original storyline that we somehow managed to keep secret during 15 years of production.
Around 10 hours of gameplay — and that's without learning all the dark secrets!
An atmosphere so engrossing you will almost smell the stench of decrepitude and putrefaction around you.
Exciting challenges rewarding your wit and observation.
Memorable soundtrack inspired by 80s horror films and quite a bit of John Carpenter.
No jump scares! OK, maybe just a frightening handful that will hit you when you least expect them.
Diegetic interface and other buzz words.

Very much a disappointment, can't imagine a game taking so long to being made, and the result being this. A not-quite-a-walking-sim, because it's point-and-click, with some tedious puzzles, a story that I don't really find interesting. I don't mind a game not having the most creative or bleeding edge gameplay style, when it makes up with other things, but this is neither here nor there. Not sure where they were going with this. As a horror fan, and a fan of the old Asylum movie, can't really recommend this.
An interesting modern point and click game full of surprises, adequate story-telling, and a general overwhelming sense of dread that should keep your attention, even when the burn is slow. Asylum is really a great addition to the recent renaissance of Lovecraft games and I thoroughly enjoyed playing through it. Drawing influence from a multitude of Lovecraft's works as well as potentially even from titles like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Asylum has an excellent sense of subtlety which is often tastefully interrupted by intense, gratuitous, and at times questionable, over the top images of violence and horror. At it's core it's absolutely a casual game, but you can still get your horror and/or Lovecraft fix while kicking back without your cheeks clenched tight, slouched over forward anticipating the next jump scare or lack of resources before a boss fight. In good conscious I might say wait for a sale on this one as the $24.99 USD price tag is a little dauntin...
A classic horror adventure game for those who still love the genre. This isn't Outlast, this is a point&click puzzle and exploration game straight out of times past. Pre-rendered graphics and all!
Very nice atmosphere and relaxing to play
I enjoyed this a lot :) Great atmosphere
