About This Game

Bodhi 'n' Friends is a first-person indie horror game where you will be spending the week at Monster Crunch Interactive, your old game studio, now set up again and ready to go.

You play as Thomas, a former programmer & game developer.
Your old friend, who co-founded a game studio with you, contacts you 4 years after the studio shut down and you both parted ways following a major controversy. He tells you he's got the studio set back up again and would love to discuss a new game project with you. What could it be?

As you play through the game, you will learn more about the origins and backstory behind Monster Crunch Interactive and its founders. You will also learn about the origins of the Friends and how they came to be.

Are you ready to become a Friend?

- 12 levels.
- Multiple endings.
- Story and lore.
- A variety of Friends you'll get to meet and fight against.
- Various items/weapons you'll get to use throughout the game.
- Spooks and scares.

Whilst in the game studio, your most useful tool is your phone. Your phone contains the Travel Utility app, which gives ease of access to your phone's flashlight, messages, battery, and time. Be sure to charge your phone if it gets low on battery! There are phone chargers around the studio.

Find game discs throughout the game studio you can play on the console in the QA Room.

Combat will play a part in Bodhi ‘n’ Friends as well. So be ready to fight when you need to protect your life! There will be a bunch of weapons that Thomas will get to use at certain points in his adventure and a variety of Friends he'll have to battle as well.

During combat encounters with the Friends, they can suffer physical wear and tear.

Solid indie horror here. The suspense is a slow build. They don't blow their load super early in this one. The game also features some voice actin' which is much appreciated. I've enjoyed the near hour spent in the virtual game studio. Not bad for under 6 bucks. Gameplay here: https://youtu.be/KpYzOe9G7Tw

I'm enjoying the game so far. Taking my time because of some major difficulty spikes with instant death and weird checkpiont placement, and also the fact that I'm playing it on Steam Deck (more on my experience on the SD later) and I'm not all that good with playing FPP games with the gamepad 😄. The game does a nice job with adding some variety to the gameplay with some combat, puzzles and chase sequences. The story is interesting, and it is cool to look around for lore bits and clues in the environment. People who are into it will have a good time. The visuals are simple with some nice post processing effects and shaders. It has its style and you have to judge yourself if you like it or not. Is it scarry? Well, it is tense at some points and some lore bits are a bit creepy. If you are into jumpscares and mascot horror you will feel right at home. I recommend it. A nice game for mascot horror fans.
