Idle Cave Miner

Seems like a nice game and I would like to play it more, but pay to win in a paid single player game.

Despite the title it isn't really an idle game. Way too much hand holding and active gameplay is necessary to progress. On top of that it costs money AND has microtransactions (or rather macrotransactions, as they cost up to 100€/$) In terms of quality, content and monitization It might work on mobile but on PC it's one of the worse games of its genre. Try it on mobile to save money, It's the exactly the same experience!

I've been playing this since the beginning of August on Android, and with that said, I had zero issue with shelling out another $5 for this game on Steam. It's a great idle game, with just enough of an incremental aspect to keep things interesting for the long term. Plenty of cool items to craft, lots of Miners with different skills attributed to different mines, pretty good offline gains. Can easily gain premium currency through daily/weekly quests and a random on-screen interactive element. Typical MTX for this type of game with sensible pricing, which is nice to see in a world where auto-click or ad-free options are creeping up to $16 USD each - or more - in other games. Also available with manual cross-platform saves so you can take this on the go with you!

The only idle game that respects your time I've been playing the mobile version for several months now, barely halfway through, and yet I find that spending a few days not checking it doesn't make me feel like I've 'lost time' towards a finish line that was always moving. Idle Cave Miner is an adorable idle game with many characters to unlock, and many caves to mine in!

Absolutely a waste of money. Microtransactions that aren't all that micro an 'gameplay' that isn't even that rewarding. Pass on this unless it's free guys. LIKE IT IS IN THE MOBILE APP STORE

I want to use my review to address a lot of the complaints in other reviews here. 1. This is free on mobile, how dare you charge money to play it on Steam! The reason for this is because there are no ads when playing on Steam, so the developer cannot get ad revenue from it. The 5 dollars it costs for the game here is the same price as "Skip All Ads" in the shop, which it also automatically unlocks on mobile if you connect your in-game accounts. Even saw someone complain that there's micro-transactions available, do you expect them to remove their option to profit off of their game so they can get a paycheck and eat dinner? And plenty of people do purchase from the shop, taking it away doesn't make a lick of sense. 2. This is hardly an idle game, you have to babysit it to get anywhere! I don't see much of a difference between this idle game and other games in the genre. You do a little, purchase upgrades, craft a little, idle. You come back, collect your afk rewards, load up on upgrad...

The game has a unique gameplay. It's also super relaxing to play and has distinctive pixel art.

The mobile version of this game is free with ads and microtransactions so if the price is keeping you away you can definitely try it there first. With that said the PC version is the same experience without ads (removing ads in the mobile version costs the same) so, i can recommend this chill game if you're a fan of the genre and want the pro of not having to have the mobile app always open to get the optimal progress (game is actually pretty fair with offline progression as well!)
