About This Game

A self-remaster of the 1994 spinoff to Taito's 1987 arcade classic, The NinjaWarriors, with The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors, Tengo Project have taken the original console beat 'em up and reimagined it, adding extra moves & combos, 2 new characters, 2 player co-op, fluid, even more hand animated pixel art and an amped up soundscape to boot!

Select one of five android ninjas, each with their own unique ninjutsu techniques, and take the battle to Banglar's army alone, or with a ninja partner, as part of Mulk's revolutionary force!
Maintaining the original's 16-bit style, Return of the Warriors expands its playfield from 4:3 to a wide 16:9, adding heavily redrawn backgrounds, even more fluidly animated characters and explosive pyrotechnics. The enhanced music comes courtesy of a new, arranged soundtrack, alongside unlockable soundtracks from the 16-bit console original, and arcade version, by Zuntata.

Multiple difficulties provide challenge for even the most seasoned ninja, and Time Attack allows you to compete against on the leaderboards against the fastest masters of ninjutsu in the world!

Very nice beat em up. Had fun until I tried to fight last boss with Raiden. This character is not designed to deal with it at all.

Imagine a world where brave ninja robots work together to bring peace. That's what this game is all about. You get to choose one of these kind-hearted mechanical heroes, each with their own special way of moving and helping others. Isn't it wonderful to have choices? The controls are smooth, like a gentle breeze, making it easy to jump, dash, and fight for what's right. The pictures in the game are bright and colorful, like a beautiful painting in a museum. Every level feels like a new neighborhood to explore, with challenges that make you think and act carefully. The music, oh my, it's like a cheerful song that stays with you, encouraging you to keep going, even when things get tough. Now, sometimes the game can feel a bit hard, like trying to tie your shoes for the first time. But that's okay, because learning and trying again is part of growing. It might not have a big story to tell, but the action is so engaging, it feels like you're part of something important. The Ninja Savio...

game is very good. the big robot, raiden, is very technical and hard to use. but once you learn the ropes with him, you feel on top of the world.

A really fun beat-em up!

It has a technical en deliberate gameplay style. You need to know what you're doing, it's not a beat em up you can button mash your way through (you can a bit, but not for long). Because of this, it sets itself apart from a lot of beat em ups that are far more fast paced and flashy. So that does mean it's harder than most beat em ups, but it gives you plenty of options to tackle the enemies. So it's not like it's annoyingly unforgiving, you just need to pay attention and know when to use which moves set. Get to know your character and you'll have fun dealing with the enemies.

Very fun and engaging title, even to this day. You can easily beat it in 1 hour, except for the final boss, who can take you an hour to figure out how to defeat him. Proves that 16-bit style with a bit of improvements ages like fine wine.
