Simply put, it's the only non-simulation racing game worth playing those days. I've tried ALOT of things. Arcade racing is dead, but you still have some twitchy corpses laying about. Most games fall into one or several of those categories : - Lazy mobile port - Unpredictable, unreliable physics that make driving random - Rally stages but they don't even last a minute - Poorly optimized, make Cyberpunk 2077 look like it runs on a potato, while making Space Invaders look next gen - It's Forza, or a copy of Forza, or it tries really hard to not be Forza - Disgusting dollar bin asset flip - Lies about what it is, like it has a solo tag but must be played online, or says open world but doesn't have open world at all But then you have Wreckfest. While the handling is definetely arcade-y, it's reliable, predictable. It's a shame this had to be mentionned but nowadays it's something you definetely cannot say about all racing games. Its destruction physics is second only to BeamNG (granted,...

Burn rubber and shred metal in the ultimate driving playground!
Wreckfest is jam-packed with upgrade and customization options. Whether you are preparing for your next demolition derby with reinforced bumpers, roll cages, side protectors and much more, or setting your car up for a banger race with engine performance parts like air filters, camshafts, fuel systems, etc., Wreckfest is shaping up to be the best combative motorsport game out there.
Drive hard. Die last.
Unique Racing Experience
Exhilarating no-rules racing action with defining, once-in-a-lifetime moments that can be achieved only with a true-to-life physics simulation. Witness insane neck-to-neck fighting on high-speed circuits, face total destruction madness on crazy courses with intersections and oncoming traffic, or go for demolition dominance in derby arenas.
Awesome Cars
Our cars are old, banged up, patched together... They ooze style and character! From old American heavy-hitters to agile Europeans and fun Asians, you won’t find anything like this in other games.
Meaningful Customization
Change not only the look of your cars but also upgrade their body armor – Reinforce them with heavy iron that protects you from damage, but also adds weight, which impacts the cars handling. Modify your car to make a robust tank or a fragile but lightning-fast rocket, or anything in between!
Multiplayer
Wreck your friends online and take racing to the limit while chasing for demolition dominance!
Challenge modes
Have hilarious fun with lawn mowers and upon release also with crop harvesters, school buses, three-wheelers and more!
Career mode
Battle for championships, earn experience, unlock new upgrades and cars, and become the all-time Wreckfest champion!
Mod support
Want to go completely nuts? Have a look at the Steam Workshop where you'll find a huge selection of mods that add monster trucks, tracks with moon-high jumps or even classic maps from famous destruction-themed games!Screenshots
User Reviews
This game is simply badly designed. The races give you stupidly specific damage objectives and wants you to win at the same time, but if you go for the win you stay ahead of the pack and cant complete any damage objectives. You try to babysit the other cars which is not fun just annoying and frustrating. If you want to complete the damage objective, you try to stay inside the pack and try to crash into other cars the specific way game wants you to do, you cant gain any places and get stuck behind maybe even with a damaged car.. This type of gameplay loop causes, multiple restarts and anger instead of enjoying the game. I just dont get it chief.
Incredible game. I've been playing off and on since release and it just never gets old. 😎
As of 2025 game does not work anymore. Crashes constantly.
cool
This game's understanding of physics is so wack, man. Would somebody please explain to me why I'm able to be routinely spun-out by bumps that equal the force of a thrown pillow, but anytime I try the same it's like I'm trying to pit maneuver a building? It makes the "Wreck" in "Wreckfest" completely unviable--if you're to have any fun slingin' these cars around, it'd behoove you to set the handling to its hardest setting, but the AI and their unmoveable-ness make it so that you'll always have to drive super defensively. To that point, the AI in Wreckfest is appalling. I fail to see the wisdom behind making them drive like tryhard trolls 100% of the time. Other players online are destined to be annoying enough to drive against, so I'm not sure why that behavior being employed by the AI hasn't inspired change--I'd love an aggression slider. I'd also love to have a stern conversation with whoever programmed the AI to behave this way, and by "stern conversation" I mean, "beat senseless w...
I found this game to be surprisingly disappointing given its potential. The handling feels sluggish, the pacing is slow, and most importantly, it lacks fun. Unfortunately, it becomes repetitive and unengaging rather quickly. For a more exciting and enjoyable experience, I would highly recommend playing 'FLATOUT 2' and if you haven't tried it, get it! Developers how did you fail here ? you already had a winning formula with Flatout 2, you only had to improve on that but instead made a joyless impostor. Lets hope Wreckfest 2 is an improvement, oh and bring back the nitro!
The best derby game out there. The crashes are cool and hilarious. The only issues are the old guys that play that target you because they want to "race clean" in WRECKFEST
Much fun. Good wrecks. Great time.
fun
