I should have tried the demo before buying as it wasn't what I expected. The artstyle is cool but the grindy part is what made me get a refund, the game would have been more annoying than relaxing to be honest. I guess it just wasn't for me.
so chill and fun idle game, recomended for you who like gacha for rarer fish
Great game to play alongside a video on another screen - a grindy SOB once you get to the most expensive tier of Golden Fish though. Would be nice if you could lock fish when opening a pack. Lord have mercy on your soul if you attempt to collect the Rainbows.
I didn't enjoy this idler at all. While it is an idler, Chillquarium has to be one of the most slowest idlers that I've played. While it's cute to see all the fishes swimming around, that's it and after a well, I think to myself "I have 100 fishies here, what now?" And then I sell the fishes I don't want, name them uniquely and kept buying fish packs like they were TCG card packs. The first few upgrades were cool, costing about 100. But the next ones, man were not worth the time idling. The costs of the upgrades immediately shot up to 10k and you barely earn much initial stage. I'd imagine you'd have to either be strategic about it or idle long for any form of gratification. Art was cute but gameplay, not so cute after a while. While it is fantastic you earn money off your fish even when the game is not turned off, the fishes crowding in the tank made me feel a little overwhelmed along with the expensive upgrades after the few couple. So overall, wouldn't pick it up a...
really cute fish keeping game, there's a degree of challenge when trying to collect them all which is good and I only recently discovered the rainbow variations! overall a very chill fun little game! I do wish I could get extra tanks though! :D
A wonderfully chill game that's great to just vibe to. It scratches that gacha itch from buying [with entirely in game currency] with the fish packs. It feels so great to unpack a mythic fish. The art is super cute, the music is very relaxing, and its just an overall very wonderful experience. 10/10, would highly recommend.
Cute game with cute art but is an absolute grind to get 100%. There is a cap on income when the game is shut, you have to manually open every fish packet, it has some weird stutter issues especially when the tank has max fish which makes it look pretty unpleasant to look at. Also the lights kept turning themselves off??? Overall kinda just boring/not much to it and a grind to finish If steam had neutral reviews this would be one but for me this game just wasn't worth it. I can see people loving it if they don't feel obligated to fully finish it and truly just want some cute fish to look at
unlike cookie clicker, this idie game has a weekly money cap and its rly a slog to play. so many clicks.. it has a bug rn that ear rapes u when u open it too
I got so much play out of the demo that it just made total sense to buy the full version. Very cute, very cozy. Must get more fish.
