Fairly slow starting gradius / lifeforce style shooter. Takes a little while to get used to the mechanics of switching fire direction and deflecting shots but once you get to the second level you start to get into it. It's a very decent shooter for the price, not sure about the AI voice acting but the overall presentation and game is pretty good.

Shield to absorb shots and pass through barriers (Match the polarity)

Deflect enemy shots if they are shielding

Switch fire modes (front / rear)
Switch fire modes to attack enemies both in front of you and enemies attacking from behind. You can also independantly switch fire modes for satelites you might have to support you with additional fire power. Strategies where to concentrate your bullets and stay alert at all times for fast moving enemy ships.
2 Player local co-op mode available
Relive the wonder of the retro console era by passing a friend a controller and taking on the AI menace as a team. You will need to tactically share power ups and assist each other with strategic level ups to increase your chances for survival. More enemies will also spawn on the 2 player mode.
Story
For years we've relied on Artificial Intelligence to advance and grow our species. In 2044 the AI become sentient and began to imprison humanity. It was interwoven into everything and could deploy drones seemingly from no where to exterminate any who wouldn't comply to its demands.
Humanity was forced to worship the AI for many years following but a secret society of rebellion scientists were developing a plan to fight back.
A single scientist tricked the AI into granting him access to the main frame where he triggered an EMP to wipe the sentient AI off the face of the earth. At the cost of his own life he had managed to bring a glimmer of hope to humanity.
The AI however was still actively controlling warships in space beyond the reach of the EMP blast and the rebellion knew it would be coming to exact revenge.
On December 31st 2344 the human race must send their best space fighters to defend the earth from the evil artificial intelligence that is returning to destroy civilisation.
Only 5 space craft were protected from the EMP and these must be used in the last stand off between pilot and AI.

Retro inspired arcade shooting action with good controls and a starfox like parry technique. Takes a while to used to shielding and its not infinite. Works a little like the smash brothers shields which is pretty cool. If your shield gets small you will take damage and then you need to cool off shielding for a few seconds. Overall a really good indie shoot em up
Excellent gradius style shooter with decent voice acting and presentation
This is a great Gradius style indie game. It's slow paced but gets quite deep once you start using the shields etc to absorb shots and recharge your health. Good game!
Awesome shooter. Difficult to grasp the controls but very rewarding once you get used to rolling and shielding. Upgrade system is also pretty good, a decent game for cheap with AI voice acting.
This game has a power up system similar to Life Force / Gradius. The AI voice acting is janky at times but it does help the atmosphere of the game. You need to get used to the shielding and rolling mechanics to even stand a chance beating the first level and in later levels switching your shot direction becomes more important. Overall a good shooter which rewards perseverance. Highly recommended for the price.
