To be NOTED this game in incredibly hard as it stands. That being said i really like the challenge of a game like this. I have not been able to stay alive for very long but it makes me think after you master the combat does the game become too easy? The time aspect of the game is definitely the hardest part, the timer will kill you more than enemies will. I suggest maybe a casual mode to master combat with a " time attack" mode or maybe new game +'s where the timer becomes more of a concern but as it stands it might be too hard for most players to stick with. The game is only 3$ tho and it look and sounds fairly good. it would be nice to have and up and down slash animation or for your melee to operate the same as the gun have a 360 degrees of slashing focus more like a twin stick shooter. Hope this helps. For the record i do like this game! just needs work for sure! Important tips Gun drops are needed for early game dodge and slash at the same time the faster you kill the faster you ...

It needs to be polished. For now, it's just a bunch of ideas, poorly working together. You are on timer, but enemies can stuck in some terrain elements. Some of these you can shoot through, but can't through others. Enemies attack randomly, move randomly and behave randomly. Some attacks have no charge time and you can't predict or react on them. Level up screen is the worst enemy. If you get level up in the crowd of enemies, you will take damage instantly after it closes. The only way not to take damage is to dodge. But you have no idea, do you have stamina or not. Stamina-meter placed in the very corner of the screen, you have absolutely no time to look at it. We have over-hyped over-popular Genshin, you have great Zelda, can you now draw freaking stamina-meter NEAR the character now? The game is fun for some little time, but it will frustrate you with bad design of good ideas.

Addicting round-based, time-attack Hack-n-slash with a 'survivor' genre-like perk progression. Enemies come in waves (i.e. rounds) and there's a (as of time of writing, small but good) variety of them. Also some spooky lore bits being dropped with every death, really curious to see where it leads. Enemies are actually tactical and don't just run at you, and each of them has their own combo of attacks. Mechanics: * Parry an attack by hitting it with your sword (aka clashing)! You can parry multiple incoming hits at once * Dash (no i-frames), 6-shooter revolver that you can reload (you keep reloading when you dash, use it well) * Pick up guns dropped by enemies (fanning pistol, double-barrel shotgun, 3-shot rifle that pierces enemies) * Spike, Shotgun and Turret traps that hurt both you and your enemies, and you can deflect bullets with your sword * You have a timer: if it hits 0, you die. Each enemy killed increases it. Enemies also drop xp, stamina and health orbs. * Gather xp orbs ...

Looks good! Feels good! Sounds good! This is a challenging game with interesting mechanics, rewarding skill and training. Random skill pop-ups keep the game interesting, bringing something different to the table with each play-through. If you like thinking fast and shooting/slashing/clashing bunch of opponents, while trying to stay on top of a very strict deadline, this is your game. Definitely worth 4 bucks. Looking forward to more titles from this author. P.S. If you expect hundreds of hours of content and triple-A experience for a couple of dollars, this is not a game for you. You'd be much better buying some old-n-gold-top-of-the-shelf game on discount.

A fast-paced action game where strategy is your best weapon. This game flows by repeating 2 beats: First you enter an arena and start hacking and shooting your way through enemies, feeling the pressure of time and health, constantly running, constantly slashing. Then you die and you decompress, trying to put reason into your run, trying to optimize places and waves on how to approach them better next time. I think this game is a great little sneak peek into what speedrunning is, and to anyone who feels intrigued by the hobby but doesn't have time for it, Lawbringer could be the perfect bite, with just enough in it to keep you absorbed, but not too much to leave you overwhelmed.

It's not an easy game, but also it's not a game that you easily quit! To start off, the music is amazing - it reminds me in the very best way of Hades when Zagreus fights Hades in the second phase. The art and the animations are pretty good, but there are a few areas that need some love, especially in the visibility aspect. The controls are easy to learn and the game itself is addicting, especially if you're a fan of these "just one more run" games :) The gameplay is solid, it allows for some variance, there are definitely a couple of combos that really work for every playstyle, but since the perk system is not yet that developed there's a lot of room for growth. I personally tend to grab the boring, stat-boosting perks a lot so that I can run into a huge group of enemies and hack-away. As you get better at it and start anticipating the moves and actions of enemies, it gets much easier to execute your ideas and plays. For the first version, I'd say this is great - but I am expecti...

This game is intense. If you like to be challenged from the start and race against the clock, this is for you. I like it, and I am annoyed by it. :) (Not really in a bad way.) I like the mechanics, I think the fight is good. The characters are also interesting and exciting. The traps could be more obvious, but you probably get used to them as you play multiple times. I would like to see more of the game story and lore. Since I die quickly and many times, I got to see some. xD Visibility gets bad as you progress through the game as the bodies of your enemies remain in the arena. It's a good visual sign of how far you got, but it can get in the way. For me, this game gets stressful and I get confused with the controls while in the hurry to kill and run away. I believe the timer should be introduced later in the game after the user gets a bit more familiar with the mechanics. But that comes from someone who doesn't play games often. That being said, this game is simple enough to...

Fast paced and fun gameplay loop with great soundtruck. The game can be very challenging but its never unfair. I would like to see some kind of either global or local leaderboard implemented so that I can track my progress.

Game play control is stupid, over all game has you on a ridicules low time limit which feels bad, even when you are doing well it goes so fast it feels pointless. Trying to aim with an Xbox controller feels bad, i was standing right next to enemies and missing consistently with my melee attacks, guns are cool, kind of overpowered but with very limited ammo, reloading and picking up or swapping weapons feels stupid. As with any reverse-bullet hell (vampire survivors, army of ruin, or Soulstone Survivor) you gain perks as you level up but they all feel the same with a slight pointless twist. Honestly i gave up, so i am sure there might be better perks later on as you progress but i didnt care. On the plus side your main character looks cool and it is 4 bucks. so yea.

I bought it because I am looking for my Vampire Survivors fix and this wasn't it. I don't like a game that has strict time limits and your slow character somehow has to find a bunch of bad guys hiding rather than attacking. Boring. The enemy designs are uninspired, the sound is really good but my movement and aiming took a lot of time to get use to. It is not intuitive at all. BIG WARNING: Every stage has at least a 15-30 second time limit that adds another layer but unwelcome one. The higher you level up the more enemies that rush you, which is good but what's not good is finding a bunch of enemies stuck in corners or on invisible treadmills or in some cases just standing still like an idiot. This game is needlessly difficult because of bad game designs. If you are going to put a small time limit within each mini-level give me at least a capable AI that knows how to target me or make me fast enough to adequately get across the screen to check for any lingering bad guys. I wi...
