User Reviews
Tacape is a very creative turn based roguelike deckbuilder RPG that uses a lot of Brazilian folklore in its style. And to someone like me, who played Slay the Spire since it's Early Access, it brings a lot of new concepts to the table that I don't see in many other entries of this genre. Comparing to other games that tried to copy the StS experience, I always felt like most of them fell flat in many fronts. The same way other card games have their "pot of greeds", "The Ancient Ones" and "4 mana 7/7s", most games that copied StS did it... too well, in a bad way. Tacape avoids this by its unique 2x2 arena in which you fight the enemies. The way the combats are set up means that some cards can’t reach some tiles, or have added effects based on position. This is enough for me to take away from the “sameness” that other games inspired by StS have. No 2 cost 8 damage 2 vuln. No 1 energy create 3 one-use attacks. No 3 cost 6 damage 6 times. It’s all original. The ar...
A neat roguelike card battler, the UI is a little confusing but it's a promising twist with the Brazilian folclore theme.
Excellent game, perfect for those who love games roguelike deck builders like Slay the Spire. The game has great art, and a lot of content 10/10.
It's ok but I won't be playing it again as there is no replay value, here are my thoughts : - The game is lacking fun, there are no fun cards or items. The game could've done with something to boost mana and make it feel like im building a deck for a reason, in the end the game feels empty - It's impossible to build a strategy, the only one is a basic push or pull to front/back line type thing, there are simply not enough cards or combinations and no ability to remove cards or feel like you are building a deck with purpose - The transitions are slightly too slow that they are annoying, the animations in battle and the level select card flipping - Certain things are overpowered like enemy poison and the surprise attack cards are too powerful so there are balancing issues - The UI in battles is hidden in the corner while there is a huge top left UI for coins when coins are irrelevant to the gameplay so why use this to display coins instead of something more useful likes statuses or a...
