Well, I don't really want to say that I liked For the Queen, but it also wasn't bad enough to write a scathing review on it either. So for the time being I'll leave it at a positive but explain my feelings a little more in my review here. For the Queen is a simple rougelike auto battler where you command an army of monsters to take out enemy armies. The paths you take through levels are random, with random events like battles/shops/loot, the rewards you get for each event are random, the usual works. Ultimately, playing this game feels like a slot machine where you hope you get the good drops that carry you to the boss. You have some influence with the 6 tactics you can choose to give you small boosts, but other than the "deploy 1 extra unit" and "1 free screen wipe per campaign" they don't really feel impactful since they're not large boosts and you need to hope that you get the units that actually apply to your strategies.
