This is my first rogue-like and I've really loved it. It's amazing how much it does with the enemy types it has and the swap mechanic is a very cool concept.

About This Game
THE ROGUELIKE WITH NO PLAYER CHARACTER
RAM is a top-down roguelike shooter with a defining twist: you don’t have a body. You play as a rogue AI, jumping between enemy robots to survive. Turn your enemies into your weapons and fight your way through a post-apocalyptic world run by quirky robots.
BODY-SWAPPING COMBAT
Every enemy is a potential host. Switch control at a moment’s notice between unique enemy types, each with a distinct moveset and playstyle, and their own arsenal of upgrades to unlock.
APOCALYPSE COMES TO THE POST-APOCALYPSE
Digital pets. Student projects. Sentient memes. Within a year, they were all that remained of intelligent life. After ten, it was just the strong ones. And in 2120… one of them made you. How much longer until there’s nothing left at all?
Traverse the ruins of the human world across multiple procedurally-generated levels, and contend with the eccentric mechanical societies that have risen to inhabit them.
STYLE IS LEGAL TENDER
RAM expands the style systems seen in games like Devil May Cry and Ultrakill by making style points in-run currency. Master combat techniques and execute trickshots to earn a diverse array of upgrades that modify how each host robot functions, then pit your accumulated strength against dangerous bosses with their own unique swap-related mechanics.

Aphid gives a bangin sermon my man 10/10 More seriously this game is incredible at making the player feel cool by making a cool flashy playstyle optimal and although the game does sometimes struggle with teaching mechanics to the player the most immediately obvious actions the bots have are still very effective so lacking more in depth knowledge isn't too punishing.
The writing is funny, the characters are interesting, the gameplay is smooth, each robot has a ton of nuance to them that makes them feel fresh to play each time, and the both bosses in the early access version are wonderful. Runs are short enough to not interfere with having a life, but addicting enough to interfere with having a life. On the off chance anyone is actually reading this, go do something better with your time like buying this game or reading Elektiontruckung.
Pretty Damn Cool
This game is amazing in that it challenges what you know about games in general and makes you think differently about resources you have, primarily health. And it’s not even finished as I’m writing this! And the atmosphere is amazing with the hub area being really important(like in Hades, but I’d argue RAM executes it better)
The telekinetic weeaboo linebacker robot has my favorite play-style.
I am going to RAM my Bugentruck into the G.O.L.E.M
it's good!
