About the Game

Kamikaze Lassplanes is a brand new mix of Visual Novel and SHMUP with crucial story-branching decisions that lead to different gameplay and story outcomes, both for war, romance, and the protagonists’ fate.

Meet and fall for Alba Trossé and Hannah Brandenburg - charismatic Lassplanes who transform into deadly war planes you pilot. Face the Imperial fleet together in challenging arcade shoot-'em-up encounters and discover the secret behind their mysterious origin.

But will the gift prove to be a curse?

Dive into an engaging, dark story about exploring humanity in a world where every rose has its thorn, and every tool can become a weapon. When nothing is as it seems, your beliefs are shattered as you uncover the truth—and perhaps you’ll pay the ultimate price for it.

Decide the fate of your kingdom and your heart.

Your choices matter:
 • Unlock various endings that will reveal different faces of Alba and Hannah.
 • Discover and collect a gallery of beautiful, hand-drawn ecchi illustrations.
 • Challenge yourself in Arcade mode and beat records.
 • Control the lethal Lassplanes in various missions set in a fully 3D environment.

Nice VN about piloting overpowered planes who also double as cute girls off duty. It's sounds like a trash anime synopsis however the writing is actually quite good and the characters pretty fun. The backgrounds are also pretty nice to look at and the music fits well too. However when I got to the end I found out perhaps why the game is not as popular as I thought it should be. The game ends in what feels like the middle of the story, like 3-4 chapters are just missing.
There's a lot of mystery throughout the story but in the end you learn nothing of the world. Also there's just 1 good ending for which you need to make specific choices throughout the game - at least according to the 1 Chinese guide I could find - otherwise the game funnels you into one of the giga bad endings.
I'd still recommend it especially on sale, since the journey is pretty fun, even though there's no destination, so to say.

As fan of VN and since this is indie western VN I would say it's great 7.5/10. Please note, there's no 18+ Patch. You get bit ecchi, Like some bath scene with towels etc but nothing really exposed. Pros: - Sprites / CG are actually really lovely, even though in some sprites Alba looks bit strange. The cat, rubber duckies, etc are just adorable. - Voice over is decent and VA are great. But please note it's not full voice over. - Story takes some twists and from all the indie western games I played, this is definitively one of the better I seen. - The Air combat when compared to other games for example Subverse) is actually way more varied with various power ups and different abilities between the two characters, several levels have some special gimmicks only available in that level like slow time or ability to use both characters special abilities. Someone said it doesn't blend nicely, I disagree it blends great, and even if you are not fan of combat and just want the VN el...

I really enjoyed this game. The story was actually really good, even if it has a few fromage-y moments. It manages to take dark turns without over or under doing it, and the characters do actually feel rather alive. The shoot'em up bits were actually quite well done, although all the bosses except the final one were rather straight forward. If you try the demo and like that, you'll probably love the rest of the game. I know I did.
