Doodle World Deluxe is a super-charming platformer where protagonist Doodle has to rescue the magical crayon that created his world from the evil King Eraser and his minions, who are all office-supplies (I particularly liked the thumb-tack enemies - cute idea!). The entire game takes place within the confines of a lined notebook, complete with ever-present spiral-binding at the top of the status-bar, and the very nice touch of the default border for the Steam release extending this further with the image of a desk with more artwork and art-supplies on it. I loved the implication of the creative and colourful world needing to be saved from the dull and stoic one that would otherwise take that notepaper and do boring things with it!
