Mindbytes: Learn to read Japanese is the most fun way to learn the Japanese writing systems of Katakana and Hiragana.

• Learn each character of both Katakana and Hiragana including its name and pronunciation
• Click the characters to learn how they are pronounced
• Think fast and challenge yourself to reach the highest score in the fast-paced and fun game mode
• Clicking the correct character earns you time, but getting the wrong answer causes a time penalty
• Get as many correct answers as possible before time runs out
• Reference flash-cards to look up any characters you haven't memorised yet
• Improve your language skills while learning two new writing systems

Useless. The only thing you learn here is which sound to make at each of these signs. Thats it. You dont learn what it means in any other language. You dont learn how to make sentences, words or something about it. How to use it. Literally NOTHING. You just learn the "sound" of theses signs/letters.

Not for bloody beginners hmm. If it is your thing to just try to speed-recognize symbols, then you might like this. So I would recommend this only for those with either fast brain or already some level of basic knowledge. I'm a bit too old for this. I prefer to have some more insights or guidance.
