About This Game
In this sequel to the splash hit Octodad, our cephaloprotagonist has gotten himself in a bind between his wife’s mounting mistrust, and a disastrous trip to the local aquarium! Are you dad enough to control the titular octopus father as he strives to hide his nautical nature from his family while keeping his tangled tentacles intact?
In Octo-ber 2010, a group of university students released the original Octodad into the world. Despite everyone being convinced that the game was about a normal human dad, the game was a cult hit, gained critical acclaim, and was an Independent Games Festival Student Finalist in 2011. Octodad received enough attention that the team decided to run a Kickstarter, form the game studio Young Horses, and create a bigger, better, more polished game about Octodad. Two and a half years after beginning production, Octodad: Dadliest Catch is ready to flop awkwardly into your arms.
Key Features
- Octodad’s wacky physics create hilarious moments that are different every time. Be surprised by the randomness of Octodad’s flailing or express your own sense of humor by making Octodad do silly things.

- Experience Dadliest Catch’s unique control scheme with various control inputs, including X360, DualShock4, Mouse + Keyboard, Mac multitouch trackpad, Windows 8 touchscreens. For gamepads, XInput is best supported, as DirectInput requires manual remapping in most circumstances.

i bought this game a decade ago and finally decided to play it. i know my brother played this game previously, but this was my first time playing it i'm naturally going to enjoy a game like this since it's physics-based. i LOVE physics-based games, so i have a bit of a bias. the controls were pretty fun to learn, and moving octodad was really funny. had good fun with the gameplay only real critique is the length. really short game. i played the entirety in two short one hour bursts. i wanted more honestly, maybe an few extra stages. i know there's community-created content, but i'm not a big fan of that for the most part this is peak 2014 gaming
Its one of those games that looks fun when you watch someone else play it and then when you play it for yourself its not so great anymore. The controls are funny for the first hour of playing but wear off as its so clunky that you end up losing in a stage because your character had a stroke and broke everything in a 50 mile radius. The game is remarkably short seeing as i only beat the story mode in a few hours of playing and i dont have plans to replay this anytime soon due to how unreplayable it is. When ypu beat the story mode thats pretty much it. Yea you can get all the achievments and ties but dont really change up the game all that much. In my personal opinion this is a game for streamers/youtubers. Your better off watching someone play it
pretty fun game

And absolutely amazing game about how father's come in all shapes and sizes.
Octodad: Dadliest Catch is a wonderfully quirky and delightfully absurd game that offers a refreshingly unique experience in the realm of comedy and physics-based gameplay. Developed by Young Horses, this game puts players in the oddly challenging shoes—or rather, tentacles—of an octopus masquerading as a suburban dad trying to maintain the façade of normalcy in everyday family life. The core premise is simple yet brilliantly executed: you must navigate mundane tasks like grocery shopping, mowing the lawn, or attending a wedding without revealing your true cephalopod nature. This odd setup immediately injects humor and charm into every moment, making it a standout in the indie scene. The gameplay centers around intentionally awkward controls that simulate the difficulty of an octopus trying to manage human limbs. You control each tentacle separately, which leads to hilarious and often frustrating moments as you fumble to complete simple tasks. This mechanic is the heart and soul ...
Nostalgia at its finest.
it's peak...
