My new favourite game! Looking forward to future updates, but what is there now is already worth the price! Great leveling system / mercenaries for solo play you can reset your skills if you want to redo your class build. multiple race/classes to pick and play for your playstyle. lots of loot/ boss / enemy types. Thank you to the development team for making this amazing game!

Harkens back to the CRPG's of the 90's, but running smoother and with better graphics. Play a single character, but can hire NPC's to help you, once you reach 10th level. Various classes, Items have levels and some have a minimum level to be able to use them. Some items are for specific classes only, all standard fair from the old days :)

This game is stellar with a very responsive and intelligent dev and seemingly nice community of people. My notes as of a few hours in are as follows: 1) If you played old-school MMORPGs like specifically Everquest, prepare for happy ears when you hear the first DING. If you know, you know. 2) Steep learning curve for the first bit however once you start to figure out the systems it all of a sudden sort of all clicks. This is hard to explain. I almost quit at first however as the game goes, I am thinking more tutorials will definitely be added. 3) Quality of life features seem to be paramount in the development of this close to release, early access title. 4) My understanding is that there is an expansive end game with other reviewers clocking insaneo hours. This is a top 5 game for me so far folks and it is basically free since the pricing is so reasonable. BUY IT NOW if you are hesitating. Thank me later.

Very nice game. It's like Everquest, but in the form of Stardew Valley. The mercenaries are a nice addition for single player. From what I have read, content will be made so that people that enjoy solo can complete the game too once it is complete. I recommend this game.

Great pixel rpg. A bit on the grindy side, reminiscent of older mmo's, but with some modern quality-of-life features. The dev is awesome - very active in the discord, quickly responding to bug reports and feedback. Overall, pretty fun little hidden gem with lots of potential.

10/10 would recommend! So far its amazing! "Ancient Kingdoms" is a true hidden gem, and I'm not the only one who thinks so! With 90% of its 120 user reviews on Steam being positive, it's clear this game is striking a chord with players. As another reviewer said, "I can tell this is dev's baby and he's taking good care of it." This game has the feel of classic MMORPGs like "Dark Ages" and "Nexus The Kingdom of the Winds" but with the flexibility of a smaller, more intimate experience. For months, I was on the hunt for a game that scratched a specific itch, downloading and trying at least 10 other similar titles, but each one was missing something crucial. "Ancient Kingdoms" finally hit all the right notes. It perfectly blends that nostalgic pixel-art aesthetic and classic RPG gameplay with modern conveniences. And the best part? It's completely playable solo. The ability to hire mercenaries to fill party roles like a tank or a healer is a fantastic feature that allows you to experien...

Huge Potential here with a great amount of content on offer even in early access. Once this is polished up to a sheen and more proper content is added this will be a must for people who enjoy the kinds of gameplay loops games like EQ and FF11 had to offer!
