Watch Dogs: Legion had an ambitious idea — a city where anyone could be a playable character — but in execution, it falls flat. While the setting of near-future London is visually impressive, the “Play as Anyone” mechanic ends up making everyone feel the same. Most characters lack personality, and without a strong main protagonist, the story feels disjointed and forgettable. The gameplay loop becomes repetitive quickly, with missions often boiling down to the same hacking, sneaking, or shooting sequences. AI is inconsistent, and driving feels clunky compared to other open-world games. Performance issues and occasional bugs further hurt the experience, making it feel less polished than it should be. The concept had potential, but the final product feels more like a tech demo than a fully realized game.
A very different game comparing to the two previous ones. I cannot really choose if this or the second one is more of my game, but i really like them both. Its very cool that in this game, you dont have any MAIN character, instead you have many characters and you can choose who you play as. Expecially when you can choose characters like police, royal guard, albion soldiers (which are the soldiers of this game). And they all have own unique abilities and weapons. Its really cool. The world also is kinda cool. Not really my type of map/world. But its cool. Its very fun game! Great job Ubisoft, as always.
Honestly this game was a bit of a let down but I got the deluxe edition on sale for £8.84. So 35 hours is a good price for that...? Everything good about this game is within it's mechanics and missions. The main story is okay... Nothing more. There's barely any side missions outside of the recruiting missions. I think the only side missions are Assassin's Creed cross overs, which at least were fun. At first I spent hours just recruiting new operatives and exploring. That was fun. Once I started to do main missions that's where the game started to fall. Once you have an operative who has a gun or double gun perk the game becomes far too easy. Even without that, you have non lethal guns and melee, which can also be very easy to use. The only times I died is when I became overconfident and tried to run into multiple enemies. Missions were far too easy since there's new skills compared to WD1 and WD2. Find an operative with the correct uniform for a restricted area and you're i...
Unable to play due to Ubisoft Connect issues. Talked with Ubisoft Support and they refused to transfer the game to the correct Connect profile. Third party software is an inherently flawed and disgusting practice that should be removed by all companies. You are making a product, not an experience. Pull your head out of your rear. Edit: I am able to play the game due to the owner of the Connect account allowing me access to their account. Having to create a real world solution for a digital issue (although on topic for the series) is ridiculous.
Ubisoft locked the game to their online launcher so you cant play any of the games you bought offline. You dont own your games. Dont buy Ubisoft.
Watch Dogs Legion nails the graphics, the world feels alive and is stunning. Driving takes a bit of getting used to, but it’s fine. The real problem is the gameplay and storyline. The story doesn’t stick, the missions are repetitive af, and half the time I have no idea what I’m actually doing. Glad I grabbed it on sale, can't imagine paying full price for this shit
Okay, giving this a positive because in my opinion this game was pretty okay, mediocre but okay. All I'm going to say is play the Bloodlines DLC first and obviously play it with permadeath so you have that feeling of consequences on losing your operatives in the main story. Bagley also essentially stole the show and carried how lacklustre and cringe some parts were. But overall I still found it okay. It has the usual Ubisoft open world slop of find this collectible, liberate this region, etc, etc. But if you're into that and just want to get more Watch_Dogs fix then Legion is okay, get your personal opinion first and obviously this game is more of a buy it on sale instead of buying it full price (it ain't worth full price trust.)
Great game with great story. Great VFX. Hats-off to the dev team. Really great gameplay.
Hot take, but this personally is my favourite Watch Dogs game. Yeah, the writing does suffer from the 'play as anyone' mechanic, but this game is not designed for you to get attached to your characters (this can be enforced even more when playing permadeath, which I can highly recommend). No instead this game is all about adaptability and problem solving. There are so many ways you can approach each mission; you can go stealth, you can go melee, you can go guns blazing, you can parkour your way across environments, you can fly in, you can cause distractions with drones, you can disguise yourself, you can mind control enemies. The game automatically places operatives around mission targets that you can swap to which encourages you to switch up your play style. You are not one specific character, you are DedSec. Going in with that mindset will make you enjoy the game a lot more. The game also has the best online features out of the franchise so far, there's co-op missions, pvp, a sick ro...
