UPDATE: It appears the developer has fixed many of the issues I had with the game in my review. I will be giving it another shot and will provide my thoughts in a further update. It was clear to me very quickly that this game was not ready for release at all. It would have made much more sense for it to have been launched on early access, I feel that the recent release of Front Office Football 9 may have caused the developer to panic launch this game. There are some major issues with the game. First off, the draft logic is absolutely horrendous. I saw a Safety go #1 Overall, multiple Fullbacks all drafted in the first round. Top players were left on the board for many rounds, I am assuming it is based on team needs? Second, there have been some big bugs. I have had countless alert popups that were completely empty. After ending free-agency, i was told there was a minimum roster of 46 and I had to add -7 players (I had 53). Speaking of that whole scenario, why cant we have more then 53...

After playing through 10+ seasons (with many more to come), I can tell I'm enjoying this game a lot. While it's not perfect, it still worth it's price already, and it has a solid potential to become one of the best Football Manager games ever. The game has some minor bugs (nothing game breaking), but the developer keeps working on fixing them as soon as possible (the game received a small patch almost everyday since release). Pros: - Pro style football (2 conferences, 8 divisions, 32 teams) with 18 week (17 games) regular season, 14 teams playoffs (with conference championships and league championship), off-season (re-signing period, free agency, draft, training camp). - Complete control over your team (Trades, Free Agency, Draft, Offensive/Defensive/Special Teams Coordinators, Player Coaches (from QB coach to DB Coach), Gameplan, Depth Chart, Signings, Contract Negotiations, Franchise Tag), with the option to let the game automatically handle the ones you don't want to, or even ever...
Seems pretty good so far. I hope they iron out some bugs and i pray they support the game and add feautres like dynamic weather, and legacies and family trees. Other than that i recommend from what ive played so far. And it seems pretty simple to add your own custom league.
Developer has no respect for the players time. Game has a clear bug that results in coaches getting fired for no reason, they know of this bug and can't be bothered to fix it.
It's ... okay. I'm going to call it a very good start after a half an hour. It's a general manager simulator - you can't coach any games, I can't even tell if you can watch the games play out live. Everything you would want for a GM simulator is there. There's a distinct lack of polish at the moment, and not with the GUI - the GUI is fine, it's just difficult to tell what decisions you have to make when, such as when to cut your roster down to 53 players, or if your coaches did that for you, or how generating a game plan works when you don't have a lot of information to generate a game plan off of. I guess that's best left to your coaches for now. The good news is all the bones are there, so this has a chance to be one of the better American football sims out there if the developer keeps at it, but probably best bought on sale at the moment.
When I first got this game, I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. It is currently still pretty unpolished, and not quite at the level of the FOF series.... but looking at the road map posted and the work put into the game, I think it has a pretty good shot of becoming the OOTP-esque football game I've been waiting for. Only time will tell, but right now, this game is looking pretty good for the future.
Good start. The finished game looks like it will be great!!!!
