Great game, a classic now. But buggy as hell and I'm sick of letting it slide with so many companies so its a thumbs down. Don't remember it having issues like this on 360, so consider that or a newer console maybe. Sure its old, and Bethesda thinks that because they are a meme for unstable games and its funny that they don't have to curb being lazy, so fair enough make it $1 and say you may need to fix it yourself. Otherwise its a green tinted New Vegas in DC without factions. Well, there are factions, but not a relation system that NV has. I prefer 3 more mostly because I played it first and it was one of the main games back in the day. Also I prefer green/brown over orange/brown. Its important to know your piss filters for the early 2000s. For its time it was pretty good, though the wasteland did feel empty then and probably will even more now. But if you take it as a showing of what a nuclear obliterated wasteland would be they got that right on the money. The dlcs are pretty ful...

Played for the first time several months ago after only playing new vegas and 4. Best fallout game ever
GOAT. New Vegas was good, but nothing compares to stepping out of the vault for the first time in this one. jaw dropping. the followup dlc kept me entertained for years, and still a fan decades later. edit: THIS is the one that deserves a remaster.
It worked back when i first got it and now it just doesn't want to launch, and i have tried to run troubleshooting techniques. Now the game launcher will not open and I don't know what to do. I'm at my wits end with this and I'm considering going back to console because I've tried everything i can to get this working again.
Fallout 3 is a fan-made Fallout game.
Fallout 3 was big for console gaming back when, there were pretty much no options for open world RPGs of this kind for consoles so naturally this game was a hit. Roaming around the post-nuclear Washington D.C. is really fun, easily my most favorite aspect of this game because the world feels very alive with lots of random encounters that can occur around the wastes, some only happen if you are lucky enough. The DLCs for this game are generally good with the exception of Mothership Zeta, the rest are fun and great though. It is no secret that Fallout 3 was a love letter to Fallout, intergalactic incomprehensible being Todd Howard was a huge fan of the classic games and was stoked to work on the series after Bethesda's acquisition of Interplay's Fallout. Depending on who you ask, this was when the seeds of discord were planted among the fans as 3D Fallout was very different from its trimetric roots... Ultimately this was the natural evoluti...
this game is geniunely incredible, just as great as new vegas, though it does have some issues running on modern hardware, but otherwise its a magical experience with graphics and gameplay that still hold up to today, with incredible details and features
its fun but the keyboard just dose not feel right for this game plus when i played it it just kept creasing like 7 times just out of random if only they could have kept the controller feature
My favorite part is when my dad liam neson abandons you in vault which is now out to kill u cause of his actions, so as i escape i kill the mother of my childhood bully, laugh at him for being a soy boy, kill him take his jacket, proceed to kill anyone in my way. includeing my childhood bestfriends father, escape the vault and become addicted to every drug under the sun of the capital wasteland. fuck u dad, im a terrorist now. THREE DOOOOOGGGGGG
I probably can recommend this game to others...but I am WAY too salty to do so. The base game is great, highly recommend, but for the love of GOD don't play the alien DLC. One of the most boring DLC in a game I've ever seen. PLUS, after I finished it, I came across a bug that caused my karma to RESET, (mind you, I have not beaten the game yet), so I was just done afterwards and I considered it as beating the game cause I was literally on the last mission in the story. The rest of the game is great, just don't touch the alien DLC, unless you really want to. But I cannot give this a good review because I am too annoyed lol
Despite the fact that you need mods to be able to move past the start screen without it crashing, it is enjoyable.
