Everything has been a step up from Neon Abyss 1. Lore and story progression is clear as well as interesting. The new Fate system is a good addition. There is better understanding and flow in progression in the evolution system.

Just play the first one. This is both completely bland in comparison (most of the time I just run with the gun I get at the start because the gun options I get during the run are worse). - The hatchmons are worse than the first game IMO as you have to collect 3 of the same type to get an actual helpful one and you spend 90% of your time just constantly reviving them from the floor anyway. - There's way too many gambling/luck rooms as well - you can reforge your badges, you can convert money into eggs, you can convert eggs into money, you can also "unhatch" eggs (whatever that's for), plus there's tokens you can earn to get cosmetics that don't affect the game at all etc etc. - There's less customisation on the weapons too - gone are the days where you can combine 14 guns into a stupid gun (at the cost of only having half a heart of health). - The starter area seems to have absolutely no use other than to inconvenience you as you have to run from one side of the building to the ...
Do not buy the game if you intend to play co-op. It's so buggy (room de-syncs) to the point of having to restart runs because you can't progress further. The game is ok (haven't played the first one though) although after a while it gets a bit repetitive. Needs more cooking in the oven
Absolutely love it!! It isnt as deep as the first one, but truly just as fun. Really been loving the new mechanics, weapons, and items. Hell yeah!
look i love neon abyss 2 don't get me wrong its a grate game with new macanics like a weapon level system i like that but this game feel so bad with consent patch note up updates it feels worse each patch note. look devs love u guys with the first game but u gotta sort this out soon but this is getting ridicules.
This game cured my depression and weiner cancer.
Nice game, feels good to play now but still needed a lot of cooked. I'm not gonna review it's a bad because it's still early access, so it's not finished product yet. + Fun coop game or just go chilling solo + Nice optimization, no stutter no lack + High quality pixel art ( but not the character illustration ) = Most of Item still needed a lot of cooked, but still enjoyable = BGM feels repetitive and boring somehow, or just it's not my type - AI Art ( It's ok to use AI but at least polish it, or just make a proper art no AI is more acceptable ;) ) Feedback : 1.Most of curio feels useless -Need a lot of cooked or revamp this system 2.Most of artifact feel weak -As it's always synergy with money, key, etc but not the gunplay also it's mostly buff gun but I didn't saw any buff melee. ( I saw many new artifact that just got in recently patch too, so dev is still cooked 😉 ) 2.1 Badge is hard to find -Never had an opportunity to level it up or try use many badge combine. 2.2...
A lot of the hate this game is getting is over exaggerated. I actually enjoy it more than the first one.
Loved Neon Abyss 1, and everything I loved about NA1 feels doubled here in NA2. Can't wait for new content and new bosses, but as it stands I still see myself dumping more hours into NA2 in the future. Many builds and items make every run feel unique, and the combat always feels like a fine line between victory and defeat even in the later stages. Every character feels useful and unique, and even the starting character can continue to be used after you've unlocked all of the other characters due to the abilities that enable strong diversity between runs.
Actually insanely good game so far, I was liking the first one and since there were a lot of mixed reviews I wanted to make sure that one was good first and it was. Glad I got this one though as they seem to have smoothed out a lot of the issues with game 1, a lot of people complain about not being able to see whats going on in each room but I've yet to have an issue with that yet( its just like every other bullet hell known to man imo) but the game was some really fun/unique elements too it. Definitely reccomend if you like platformer/run and gun bullet hells.
