watched both movies, this is absolutely nothing like the movies. This had potential to be a great game but lacks immersion and effort. If you make noise, a cut scene intercedes with a monster killing you. BORING! why didnt they give you a chance to hide? give you a few seconds to hide somewhere whilst the monsters run out the trees? absolute crap fest, mini games are pathetic and dont make sense, I.E when trying to pass a noise trap. CRAP

Tense. Emotional. Unforgettable. A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead nails the suspense of the films—every sound could be your last. The environments are stunning and packed with detail, the audio design is perfectly nerve-wracking, and the story grips you from start to finish. I’ve spent over 130 hours completely absorbed, and every moment kept me on edge. If you’re looking for an immersive, heart-pounding horror experience, this is it.
I watched the movies and I was super excited to try this game. Any type of noise alerts the monsters and there is not much chance to hide. You get a cut scene with the monster almost immediately, which gets boring fast. Monsters will just teleport behind you. I got disappointed real fast.
Genuinely a terrible game, to the point where I don't want to finish it. The characters are dumb and the "AI" is atrocious. Every jumpscare sting is another nail in the skull. Just sitting there playing it has me angry not at anything related to difficulty or restarted but just from how authentically bad it is.
Don't be fooled by the good reviews. This plays like a game from the 1980's. You can't hide from the monsters. Even in a closed locked room. The game teleports the monster behind you even with your back in a corner against a stone wall in that locked room. The path is linear and you can't move to tall grass, bushes, under logs to hide. It had so much potential but fails complete. This is the only game I have ever refunded on Steam.
Game play wasn't great, a lot of glitches killing the immersion. I would honestly wait until it is much cheaper. Mechanics were painful. story was very cliche I ended up skipping majority of the cut scenes towards the end just to get through the game. It was giving Alien Isolation rage bait deaths.
I have to give this game credit for including an option to turn off yellow paint.
Kinda monotonous to play.
great game
Bought this game with really high hopes because I watched all 3 movies, and this didn't even come close to my expectations. It's extremely repetitive and non-immersive; go to an area, sneak around the monster to locate an item/complete small puzzle, then move to the next area to do it all again. The cut scene as soon as you make any sound is also very obnoxious. Even if the outcome was always imminent death, the illusion of being able to run or hide would have been nice. Very disappointed with this one.
