---
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion® Game of the Year Edition presents one of the best RPGs of all time like never before. Step inside the most richly detailed and vibrant game-world ever created. With a powerful combination of freeform gameplay and unprecedented graphics, you can unravel the main quest at your own pace or explore the vast world and find your own challenges.
Also included in the Game of the Year edition are Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansion, adding new and unique quests and content to the already massive world of Oblivion. See why critics called Oblivion the Best Game of 2006.
Key features:
Live Another Life in Another World
Create and play any character you can imagine, from the noble warrior to the sinister assassin to the wizened sorcerer.
First Person Melee and Magic
An all-new combat and magic system brings first person role-playing to a new level of intensity where you feel every blow.
Radiant AI
This groundbreaking AI system gives Oblivion's characters full 24/7 schedules and the ability to make their own choices based on the world around them. Non-player characters eat, sleep, and complete goals all on their own.
New Lands to Explore
In the Shivering Isles expansion, see a world created in Sheogorath's own image, one divided between Mania and Dementia and unlike anything you've experienced in Oblivion.
Challenging new foes
Battle the denizens of Shivering Isles, a land filled with hideous insects, Flesh Atronachs, skeletal Shambles, amphibious Grummites, and many more.
Begin a New Faction
The Knights of the Nine have long been disbanded. Reclaim their former glory as you traverse the far reaches of Cyrodill across an epic quest line.

I haven't played this game as much on my pc as I have on my Xbox, if you don't want to pay for the remaster the original still holds up and is my favorite Elder Scrolls game.
I don't care about the remake. And I don't care to play it!. It was 2005 or 2006, it was E3, and this new company id never heard of called Bethesda showed a trailer for a new game, OBLIVION. So they showed the physics in the game and they did something that blew me away, they shot an arrow into a wooden bucket. wow well, it doesnt end there, cause the weight of the arrow made the bucket tilt!. That sold me right then and there, i had ordered the collectors edition a nano second later. - This game still holds up imo, theres so many crazy things you can do and how you go about finishing the quests. Of which there are many. My first ever character a red dark-elf, i spent 300 hours with. Much like Skyrim you tend to fall into a certain build pretty much every time, but the game passively encourages it in a natural way, so it feels good even if you start with "ok this time im REALLY gonna play a 2 handed warrior with no magic" and then 40 hours later you cast spe...
there are better ways to spend your time
STOP YOU VIOLATED BY PLAYING THE REMASTERED INSTEAD OF THIS OG. Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence.
i like this but the oblivion gate is not hellish enough bad game
I like the Original artstyle and combat animations better than the Remaster
Best open world RPG better than skyrim ngl. Also if u pc cant run the remaster this is the way to go
Definitely still worth playing despite the remaster. It'd be hard to find anyone as passionate about bushes and shrubs as that one guy.
My favorite RPG but is poorly optimized
