As an Italian, I hate to say it, but this is a very accurate portrayal of our daily life. I'm glad this indie game has brought to attention our daily struggles.

When I was watching trailers and gameplay, I was totally confused about the layout of the map, and was afraid I'd spend a ton of time being completely lost rather than being able to run frantically (preferably in the correct direction) and finding my flow state. I imagined this game wouldn't be for me but gave it a shot anyway. Thankfully the levels are VERY well designed for the most part and my concerns were quickly brushed away. The controls have a ton of Oomph, the game is funny, the soundtrack SLAPS, it's just gold on top of more gold.
If you'd asked me for my thoughts on Pizza Tower after my first hour or two, you'd have been met with a frustrated "I can see why people like it, but this isn't for me". It's a good thing, then, that I kept playing for a total of 45 hours before posting my thoughts, because after P-ranking every level in the game and achieving 101% completion, I am wholly and utterly convinced that this is one of the best platformers ever made. Most of that frustration, I think, stemmed from a dissonance or clash with my beliefs - One of which is "I am good at platformers and speedrun games". I've always considered myself very good at both of these genres. But I was extremely humbled by Pizza Tower at first. Using Super Meat Boy as a comparison (as it's both a renowned 'difficult game' and 'go fast 2D platformer'), the difficulty comes from the level design, obstacle and enemy placement, stuff like that - But Pizza Tower's very fundamentals are hard. Even just the simple act of moving...
I like this game so much, my only problem with it are that stuff that increases it's age rate (jumpscares, the 3rd boss attack, etc...)
If you are a fan of any platformers with time involved like Wario Land 4 & Anton Blast, then you are sure to love Pizza Tower. It's a race against time when you are near the end of a level with impacting music & plenty of baddies to bash within' your skull. Wacky Bosses within' a Wacky Plot as you climb up the "Pizza Tower" to stop an evil floating Pizza Head from destroying your Pizza Parlor. After beating main game, I recommend you tackle for P-Rank which is getting through the level with all 5 toppings, racing through the level once again, & getting the Janitor item while keeping you combo a-foot! This is a game, I 100% recommend!
Its as if Wario Land and Sonic had a baby that was raised on cartoons from the 90's. The level design flows well and you can tell this is a game meant for speedrunning. The frantic energy alongside the art style makes the whole concept chaotic in a good way that makes you feel very satisfied after finishing each level. The music is straight up fire with no bad songs and all of them capturing the feeling of each level in their own way. Its leaned towards both casual players and hardcore completionists as this game does not shy away with offering a challenge. This game did not disappoint in anyway (besides the jump scares, but those are few and far between) and is definitely worth grabbing.
Honestly, I love the wacky style and speed centered platforming. Pretty amazing. Gonna go for all P ranks.
everything in the game is great! except for boss 2. the timing on that final attack is genuinely awful. i cant beat it. boss 2 sucks. kill boss 2. i hate boss 2.
I have a blast till the time starts the timer. The entire level becomes warped with random paths I'm not familiar with along with enemies being spammed everywhere. What doesn't help is the controls are a little jank. for example, when sprinting you cannot jump if you're holding the arrow in the direction you're going in. The pepper boss fight feels very rng with the blocks from the sky and annoying because he switches up moves every time he gets hit. I only completed the first 3 levels and I can already predict the countdowns will only get more frustrating along with these boss fights.
i pirated this but didnt want to wait for the noise update 10/10 game, very fun
