About the Game

Explore a treacherous archipelago
Explore Auroa, home of the Silicon Valley giant Skell Technology, by air, land, and sea. Immerse yourself in a mysterious island where architecturally advanced buildings intermingle with wild, untamed nature. From snowy peaks to the deepest swamps, all manner of terrain awaits.

Take down a deadly foe from your past
The Wolves are a lethal ex–US military unit gone rogue, ready to use the most effective killing machines to take you down. What's more, they used to be you – they draw on the same training and experience. The Wolves have seized Auroa, taking control of the most important resources of the island: the drones. Their leader is your ex-brother-in-arms, Colonel Cole D. Walker, and you will have to take him down.

Customize your Ghost

I play on Steam Deck, and I genuinely enjoyed Ghost Recon Breakpoint for what it could be. The gunplay feels great, weapon choice is plenty, and customizing them is satisfying. And running co-op campaign missions with friends can be a blast. Operation Motherland, Amber Sky, they're fun to play. But despite all that, I can’t recommend this game anymore. The biggest issue: always-online requirement. Even if you just want to play single-player. No connection? You’re stuck at the title screen. Server error in the middle of a mission? Right back to the home screen. PvP (Ghost War) is basically dead, and when you do find a match, it’s plagued with bugs like invisible characters. At its core, this game is fun and beautiful. But too bad it's Ubisoft's. And that’s the real breakpoint... #badumtss

Nothing dumber than a game that doesn't let you access video settings immediately after launch, so it crashes itself in DX11 and Vulkan with a 3060TI and a medium-high spec gaming rig, fully updated, Win 24H2, etc. Also, not everyone uses HDR, and enabling it by default and then having it buried after 15 minutes of exposition that I could barely see on the screen is far from intelligent game development. Who's dumb idea was it to make the game run before allowing you to change potentially conflicting, game-crashing settings? I'd like to see their high school diploma, I don't beleive they have one. And who designed this menu?! Where is story mode? I'm having to look up FAQ's just to navigate this unintuitive mess. After hitting an enemy in the head multiple times, then taking fire for .2 seconds and dying, I'm glad I only spent 6 dollars. Ubisoft sucks.

online only, empty world, terrible story, bullet sponge enemies, bad ai... classic Ubisoft SLOP, they used to be the best now they are garbage. if you really want this game have fun spending 12 hours modding it to make it playable and then having it constantly crash after lol

I love this game still to this day with 159 hours on Xbox and with my 257.7 hours on steam. shame that its not cross progression but also a good thing as it was nice to start from nothing. edit: would get this when on sale as i don't believe the £50 price tag or whatever currency you use. save your money and buy it on sale check out steamDB for history NOT SPONSORED.

I'm a pretty jaded hardcore tac-shooter player with 3k hours in Escape From Tarkov yet I've been pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable this game is. I'll do my best to walk you through the goods and bads but for the on-sale price point I can't recommend it enough; if this looks fun, pick it up. By far the biggest pro is how customizable every aspect of the gameplay difficult and UI are. Its pendulum can swing anywhere from being a faceroll action looter shooter to a punishing and realistic tactical stealth challenge, and you can decide exactly where on the spectrum you want to be. I personally play solo with no AI teammates on "immersive" mode - so there's no item levels or gear progression, just unlocks - have the HUD mostly disabled save for the minimap, and have the difficulty cranked all the way up just because that's more akin to the extraction shooter style I'm used to, and it honestly feels great. And if it ever frustrates me or I'm forced to do vehicle combat I just turn ...

i love this game. its like arma for busy dads, drop in and play for a bit and always have a good time. lots of customization options for getting the experience you want, thats awesome. lame features like gear score and annoying drones can be turned off. very good. unfortunately breakpoint is always online and that stuff seems pretty baked into the game, not offline friendly like wildlands. ubisoft will this be unplayable someday? are you going to pull the plug and make breakpoint disappear? hurts my enjoyment playing this beautiful game wondering if someday it will be gone forever. its absurd to me that theres no standard for communicating these things to buyers. it has deterred me from buying so many games. if breakpoint goes away then i wont be buying another ghost recon game thats for sure. bye forever ❤️

Been playing since it came out. Bit of a learning curve coming from Wildlands but once you get into it Breakpoint is like Wildlands Pro version. Immersive mode years after release was an enormous update and wound-up being the end state of the game, it's so good. Immersive mode is the game they should've released originally. Anyway, it's here and it's everything.

Dunno why ppl don't like it. It's a very good tactical shooter. Kind of easy, but good.

I have around 100 hours on this game on my old ps4. 7.5/10 I love the map, the guns, and the customization. I wish it had a first-person mode and a few other little things but I can't complain. It's a great game and I can't wait for the next ghost recon! Also, PLEASE make the next game have NO multiplayer achievements! NONE of my friends like games like this so it would be great to be able to 100% the game

Breakpoint gives you a tonne of ways to customise the experience. One feature I really like is being able to turn weapon levels off and just use whatever gear I feel like, without worrying about stats. There are plenty of other options to shape how the game challenges you too. For example, I can’t be bothered going back to the main base just to shop or spawn vehicles, so I’ve set it so you can do that at any camp – super convenient. On the flip side, you can strip things back by reducing the HUD or switching on “darkest night” mode for a tougher, more immersive feel. It’s definitely a game you can just switch off and play mindlessly. The loop is repetitive, no doubt, but sometimes that kind of familiarity is exactly what makes it enjoyable. Wait for a sale and go for it.
