This game... aged like wine? Uh??? The premise is generic, yes, but... in 2025... this is... unique? It plays like far cry minus the huge map and cars except for bikes, the missions are good. The side quests like conquering territories system is more bearable than.... Farcry6? (Both theme hit the same with revolution) There's no PR narrative or cringe, everything is presented as it should. Gameplay is fun and fluid. The only con is the weapon modification during mid combat, that can be annoying, but if you can avoid it. It's a good game. I'm just shocked. I would recommend to anyone who wants to have a feeling of what it used to be like in fps games in the 2009 with a descent modern graphic. And it has Timesplitter2.

About This Game
Story
Four years into the brutal military occupation, America is on its knees.
Philadelphia - once the birthplace of Independence - has become a ghetto, where surveillance drones and armoured patrols keep the population at heel, crushing any dissent with savage force.
Her once-proud citizens live in a police state, forced to collaborate just to survive, their dreams of freedom long since extinguished.
But in the badlands of the Red Zone, in the bombed out streets and abandoned subways, a Resistance is forming. A guerrilla force, determined to fight for their freedoms despite overwhelming odds and ignite the second American Revolution.
But Freedom always has a price…
Overview
Homefront®: The Revolution is an open-world first person shooter where you must lead the Resistance movement in guerrilla warfare against a superior military force.
A living, breathing, open world responds to your actions - you and your Resistance Cell can inspire a rebellion on the streets and turn Occupation into Revolution, as oppressed civilians take up the fight.
But your enemy has the advantage - superior technology, firepower, heavy armour and air support. You must learn the art of guerrilla warfare – ambush, sabotage, infiltration, deception – and fight a running battle through the war-ravaged suburbs of Philadelphia.
And the single player campaign is just the start – in Co-Op you and your friends can form your own Resistance Cell and become renowned as Heroes of the Revolution.
Features
• Explore a living, breathing open world - experience true open world gameplay in a first person shooter, brought to life with astonishing CRYENGINE-powered visuals
• Wage Guerrilla Warfare - this is no linear shooter; learn the art of guerrilla warfare and use ambush, infiltration and hit and run tactics against your foe in thrilling un-scripted firefights
• Build the Resistance - recruit revolutionaries to the cause, establish bases and safehouses, capture and customise a deadly arsenal, and build improvised, homebrew weapons for your Guerrilla Tool Kit
• Ignite the Revolution - from oppressed citizen to revolutionary leader, an epic single-player campaign tells the story of the second War of Independence. The dynamic, evolving world responds to your actions as an oppressed nation rises up in defiance against the occupation
• Online Co-Op - take the battle online, form a Resistance Cell with your friends and earn your reputation as Heroes of the Revolution

The main game gets repetitive, and personally for me, stealth is lacking and sometimes non-existent (by design). Most of the time you are just brute-forcing the missions and outposts (stealth was never an option, LOL). But the world design, the vibe, and the graphics are 10/10—just the implementation sucks! And god, the night view is amazing! You genuinely need to use a flashlight to navigate around... I honestly wanted more from this! But yes, apart from a few mechanics, the game is pretty realistic. Especially on the hardest difficulty, you can feel the danger. It’s like a relationship you wanted more from, but it never worked—yet you knew it was the one, and now you’re reminiscing about what it could’ve been had it, well... worked! But the DLCs, for what they are, are linear and fun—for the fact that you are not repeating stuff. I’m personally satisfied with what they created, but disappointed with how they implemented it. Ahh...yes, game is still a bit (bery berry ber...
Came for the TimeSplitters 2, stayed for the TimeSplitters 2. Did you know this game has an HD copy of TimeSplitters 2 built into it that you can fully unleash via a simple mod? and to the unholy shifting vortex of publishers that find themselves temporarily owning this franchise and doing nothing with it. Are you aware that people actually like TimeSplitters and want more of it?
Got this game realllly long time ago, couldn't play at time due to pc and stuff. What can i say now is, the game is good, i mean really good. Except maybe few places things were smooth and fun to play around and find out. Bugs were one or two so its not that big of a problem. Story though... yeah, cool. There are some Cliches and some really stupid moments towards the end just to give that hollywood vibes but still good. Anyway, worth buying during a discount.
The first game was awful. Homefront: The Revolution is certainly not perfect, but it's a significantly better game. The gameplay is nothing groundbreaking, but it's still enjoyable. The gun play is nice, the world design and art direction are nice, the enemies are lacking in variety, but for the length of the game it's okay. The zone capture mechanic is a bit repetitive, but the game is too big. The story could've been better, but for €2.99 on sale it's good enough.
For $20 it's definitely worth picking up. There's guides on how to unlock Time Splitters 2 if that's the sole reason you purchased. However, the story is interesting enough that it's worth playing. Game seems way underappreciated.

After completing this game and having and okay time I can assure you you're not missing out by not playing it. If you decide however to play it ain't that bad...
this is game from my childhood. I liked it then and i kinda liked it now. first of all, game is a bit buggy, i've experienced 2 serious bugs (1-mission stopped, 2-my movement was stuck along with pc). second of all, it has its atmosphere, good music and dumb enemies. third of all, mechanics of its game, including weapon customization is pretty good. you really belive that you shoot norks with shit and sticks. in conclusion, i reccomend it on a sale, no full price
fun game, great dlc
