While I personally like watching the game grow in my free time, I don't particularly appreciate the way the devs continually seem to paradoxically want feedback and then continue to ignore feedback. Tons of players have requested the barricade system be removed, as they believe they are playing a city builder. Fair enough, simply add the option to turn on / turn off the barricade system. No balancing needed, then you can look at some demographics to see how many players actually enjoy the system. Your barricade system fails because it doesn't interact with the actual issues your city faces. A safety crisis should trigger foreign invaders in your districts, a heath crisis should trigger an outbreak, a belonging crisis should trigger a foreign cult to start a revolution. Right now it's just: Ah, you're getting penalized because this (for no reason at all) separate "resource" is deemed to be too low. Not that it is really needed in a game like this, this game should be focused on giving...

About This Game

Memoriapolis is a city-builder where you shape your town across time. Manage resources, make political decisions, and deal with the different factions moving in.
Your ultimate goal? Stay in power until the end of the Age of Enlightenment... and leave your mark in history by building a grand City's Fair during the Industrial Revolution.
But beware—your citizens have needs, factions grow in influence, and historical events can shake everything up. Lose control, and it's game over!

Travel through five major historical eras: Antiquity, Middle Ages, Renaissance, Age of Enlightenment, and Industrial Revolution.
In Memoriapolis, each era brings its own rules and architecture — not everything can be preserved. Choose what’s worth keeping in history.
Every game reveals a unique city, shaped by your irreversible choices.

Your city grows naturally.
Citizens choose where to settle, and neighborhoods form on their own. You guide the process, but you don’t control everything. Each game is unique — every city tells a different story.

Six major cultures shape your city's growth: Military, Religion, Trade, Education, Industry, and Politics.
Over time, they evolve into factions. These groups will support or oppose you, depending on your choices.
Let one grow too powerful, and your rule may be at risk.

WONDERS & LEGACY
Build wonders inspired by real history: the Library of Alexandria, Notre-Dame, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and more. Each one offers powerful bonuses but they also demand resources, time, and strategic choices. These monuments become the memory pillars of your city.THE COLLECTION
At the end of the 5th Age, design a themed promenade to tell your city’s story. Select and organize your most iconic buildings to create a unique collection that highlights your choices, your architecture, and the rise of your dynasty: a memorable showcase to leave your mark on history.

played for an hour. save crashes within a few minutes after load 100% of the time
Playing this game felt very boring. The game sets no goals for me to accomplish, except for growing my city, obviously. Also, in my almost 3 hours played, I had no challenge to overcome and nothing to manage. I even forgot to produce enough food and the stock was empty for some time, but nobody seemed to care...
good game, we need a better sandbox where I could advance to the next age regardless of rebellion or lower faction approval
Its a cute little game. Somewhat narrow in the fact that you just play and build, collect and hit some button, watching you city grow and enter new ages. The best part of the game is the graphical growth of the city, else its relaxing.
Majestic game, and all genuinely designed by a actual intelligent designing being. The concept and gameplay is excellent, if things had more natural graphics I would have liked it much more. Love that I can evolve the buildings, but its super annoying that there is no way of removing a district in any way. Its a nice idea to restrict the demolishing of district to make things organic, but it seems it being 100% permanent is less organic or realistic compared to it being demolishable for new development (but we could implement challenges for re developing already inhabited zones compared to developing virgin lands). Whilst the architecture is good, the music for the game sounds very clinical and does not do justice to the other aspects of the game.
