About This Game

Yamorn, once prosperous and thriving town. Lost to the plague.

As a captain of the Yamorn guard you have to do whatever it takes to save as many innocent lives, even if by eradicating those already claimed by this affliction and spearheading the way out of this godforsaken hellhole.

As a plague doctor, after receiving a mysterious letter, you depart to Yamorn with the sole purpose and duty to cleanse all the infected, uncover the secrets behind this infection and eradicate the root of it.

Explore the ruined town and its surrounding areas, rummage its remains for materials, find and craft new offensive and defensive items.
Purchase the pickings from opportunistic grave robbers.
Exploit the plagues empowering properties to gain powers and stack the odds in your favor.

Recommended

Fun short metroidvania, and especially impressive from a solo developer. Map and combat design are solid, bosses are interesting and well-telegraphed, and the writing is pleasantly humorous. I first played this last year and ran into a save corruption bug, so big props to the dev for fixing those even if I did have to restart from scratch (and hey, that's on me for getting greedy and dying in the tutorial boss fight). Good stuff all around, and I'm excited to see what they do next.

I think the game seemed fine so far but I got frustrated and quit when I was first playing it. Now that I tried to return to it through Wine as I switched from Windows to Linux in the meantime, I couldn't even run the main menu, which is extremely poorly optimized. The game suffers from some optimization problems, as it's extremely heavy for a simple 2D pixel art game. I think its from the parallax. Anyway much love bro I found the game thru your youtube channel.
