Worst Tower Defense I've ever played. This game sells the illusion of choice, You can choose where to place towers to "build" the path, as well as the type of towers. However you don't actually have a choice, the map is so small and limited that you can easily see where you place towers to win or lose. Just like any other TD you start getting flying enemies and armored enemies. If you invest in a tower upgrade in the wrong place at the wrong time, you'll have to restart the level if you want 3 stars. There is no actual choice or strategy to this game, you're playing an interactive movie of how the dev wants you to play. I cannot recommend this game because it pretends to be something it's not. I couldn't even stomach a full hour of this, it's so boring.

About This Game
In Artisan TD, you'll set out to conquer the Archipelago of Chaos. Build tower mazes to free the souls of magical warriors corrupted by the TITANS.
Discover new towers and monsters as you embark on an adventure that will take you through 30 unique maps.
Created by a small independent team, handcrafted with passion and precision.
Artisan TD features no procedural statistics or computer-generated waves.
Use the maps' topography and special tiles to optimize your maze.
Building strategies and combat tactics will be regularly updated. Vanquish the 4 primordial TITANS and their forty or so minions with a wide range of actions. You'll also unlock over 10 new towers that you can upgrade.
What's more, some maps will also have specific rule sets that you'll need to adapt to.
You'll be able to manage a small economy, taking the risk of integrating farms into your mazes.
Playable with a controller, this stylized PBR 3D game is optimized for large screens and 4K.

The game has very little replay value. Due to the nature of the maps and the tower set ups, the game pushes you toward specific choices and limits build options. Those factors all work together to make a game that was alright the first time through but very quickly fell flat. If you love TD games and find it on a good sale it might be worth the pick up but I don't feel like there is enough here to recommend it over other competitors.
I tried to like this game. It looks great, and have some fun animations. However, the maps are designed for you to place towers in specific locations. I can't stand games like this. Let me have fun and do my thing, otherwise EVERYONE is playing the maps the same way. Except I might put my archers here instead of there. And the towers pretty much do the same damage to the enemies, except some can't shoot in the air. I'm sure some people love this game, it's too boring for me.
75 / 100

A Tower Defense that is really good in its simplicity: it has just enough variety of enemies and towers to be fun and challenging, while still allowing you to easily differentiate each one.
Although supposedly one of the main features of this game is the possibility to build your own paths for the monsters, I like other aspects better, such as the availability of its towers: there is no meta-progression here, and the towers you have access to in each stage are fixed, so in some cases you really have to try many combinations until you find the perfect counter to the monsters of that stage (especially if you want to finish with a Perfect score to get the different achievements). In this scenario, it's really cool that they added the ability to play again any wave without having to start the stage from the beginning (and it's not even limited to the last wave, you can go back 3 or 4 waves, for example). I also liked the different bosses, although it's true t...
pretty fun mane
Really great game, one of the best TD game along with Element TD 2, yet very different. If you like the genre you are gonna love this one. Great range of maps, I have 100 hours and there is still 3-4 maps that I can't beat at 100%. Difficulty is just on point, not too hard not too easy (but it's a very difficult game on hard mode). For 20$ at full price, go ahead and enjoy, I just wish for a bunch of map as DLC now.
Good tower defense with a good range of difficulty.
Good game
My favorite tower defense game on the market! The art style and music come together perfectly to make the whole vibe of the game very nice. Runs really well on steam deck and pc. Graphics look wonderful and are perfect for a game like this. Maybe A bit more customization with the towers but all in all an incredible game
