About This Game

You think sloths are slow? Well, Eddy is here to prove you wrong.

In Driftwood, you’ll experience high-speed downhill longboarding as an aerodynamic sloth. Drifting is the name of the game, as it’ll help you strike the perfect balance between speed and control. Drift through tight corners to avoid collision with cars and obstacles, and perform wicked tricks as you take in the beautiful landscape around you. These tricks will help you score points, which will unlock new boards that can be combined with various wheels for diverse skating styles.

  • Dream of skating as a sloth? Look no further – Driftwood lets you enjoy flowy longboarding as Eddy, who will acquire new boards, wheels, and clothes that will enhance the experience.

  • Race through beautiful scenery with relaxing music as the backdrop. Focus on vibes and tricks – Driftwood has no story campaign or obligations.

  • Immerse yourself in a contained world – Driftwood is not an open-world game; it’s a focused, minimalist experience.

  • Fun in solo or online with friends – Driftwood allows you to skate on your own, beat personal challenges and compare your runs in online leaderboards or host a lobby with up to 8 friends in the p2p multiplayer mode!

  • Travel to newly unlocked islands with your van – Driftwood has 15+ levels for you to skate and drift to your heart’s content.

We’re a small team consisting of just one artist and one programmer. We’ve set out to make a game that provides an intense downhill longboarding experience without much fluff, just a focus on drifting and flow. While there are no freestyle skateboarding tricks in Driftwood, we hope you enjoy the content in our game!

The tutorial is half baked at best and you can miss certain parts of it. Game is really buggy and theres a lot of clipping in the terrain. The sloth looks absurdly bad even on the highest graphical settings. The sensitivity of movement on the left stick is extremely high and hard to control.

This game is a fun with friends I wish they have a ghost mode where you can see and race yourself.... yeah you can race against time but its not the same.

Fantastic game and mechanics, fantastic sound track, playing with friends and racing is hilarious. I think the pricepoint of 20$ probably held alot of people back to wait for a summer or christmas sale if they remember. The biggest change I would want would be to allow player progression in multiplayer. So we could do the challenges and unlocks together in free mode. Otherwise I would maybe say to make the stats of different boards and wheel combos list other factors like speed, acceleration for example.

I enjoyed the beta of this game, and played for around 30 hours, 100%ing the game. The 1.0 release deleted my save completely, even though it is basically the same game. The beta was very buggy however the official release is also extremely buggy, my performance on high graphics went from 59 fps to 19. Overall very buggy. Fun game but should definitely not be $20. $5 is reasonable and a completely good price would be $2.99

While I love this game, the devs are on a quest to screw it up, in a game about going fast they have added what they call "cheese runs". What are "Cheese runs" you may ask? there's a few ways to get them, using the OP unlockable super fast board for one, also using shortcuts, at all, yes this game about going fast punishes you for going fast by making your times unable to be uploaded toi the leaderboard. The issue is it is a clear sign the devs dont seem to know *what* they want this game to be, do you want a competitive game or a non competitive game? because to have leaderboards, while punishing shotcuts shows you clearly want it *both ways* in a way that just doesnt work. the fact that the devs are doing this is not a good sign for the future of the game, if they want a speed game that punishes speed then I cant help but feel that they will continue to make anti-player design choices. and for what? who does this serve? who wants this???? I love this game, I have over 300 ho...
