Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my initial impressions review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/5ntdck7DTn4 Another Unreal Engine VRGK (Virtual Reality Gamekit) based game. This is basically a neutral recommendation. Is this a bad game? No, it's a nice game and I could see some people having a lot of fun with it. The problem is that it's basically mostly just VRGK. You can play the VRGK demo for free and experience most of what is here in some form or another. Is there any originality here? Well, I do think the obstacle courses are well thought out and there is some polish, although this game has all the same problems that VRGK has. If you have played VRGK then you know exactly what I'm talking about. The physics is better than the average VR game, but it's still janky. For example, using the knives to climb can be quite the frustrating experience. You'll unexpectedly bounce off of things. The bow & arrow is still bad. Game is running on the Unreal Engine. On...

Everything the description says, one of the most fun and addictive vr games i've ever played which comes from a variety of areas. The physics based puzzles are open ended allowing shortcuts if you are good with the movement etc, the minimalist style means you can blast through a bunch of levels without even thinking, and overall it just feels super solid and well made. I really like how the game teaches you as you go with easy to remember colour coded rules for things and just lets you at work to figure out what to do. The only things that could really be polished is performance seemed bad for the simplicity of the game and theres some lack of haptics and sound in areas. For example haptics for touching things as well as haptics and sound for the daggers piercing things (look to blade and sorcery).
i didnt expect it to be this good (i didnt finish it yet) but there are some downsides to this game -knives are pulling out from the walls way too easy -i fucking hate you dev for the lvl 24
i tried climbing up that fkn tower for 15 minutes just to realise the switch is right behind the spawn
-sometimes minor movements can mess up the whole level (an object glitching out an falling into the water) -can be frustrating when trying to place an object in a specific way because the character cant make that accurate movements (switching to climbing mode out of nowhere) BUT besides those few things this game is amazing. looking forward to finish it when i can :D keep up the good work dev
It's a hidden gem (for now). Idea of the game is simple, yet cool. Levels are sometimes trippy even. I can feel the height when climbing better than anywhere, even in the climb series, for some reason. Worth every penny. As a bonus you get to be active – and if you're a man-child like me you can touch developer's boob in level 24.
Good fun, kids had a blast
Overall, the game concept and design are all good but there is poor control of movement. Manoeuvring, getting up onto blocks, moving the blocks around, and so forth, are awkward and frustrating. Half the struggle with the game is just trying to hold on to the blocks. There is entertainment to be had here and I made it to level 30. That level 24 is a nice personal touch by the developer and the level-select, save-progress feature at the beginning well-designed and quite clever.
Fun little climbing game.
