About This Game

In Kerbal Space Program, take charge of the space program for the alien race known as the Kerbals. You have access to an array of parts to assemble fully-functional spacecraft that flies (or doesn’t) based on realistic aerodynamic and orbital physics. Launch your Kerbal crew into orbit and beyond (while keeping them alive) to explore moons and planets in the Kerbol solar system, constructing bases and space stations to expand the reach of your expedition.

Kerbal Space Program features three gameplay modes. In Science Mode, perform space experiments to unlock new technology and advance the knowledge of Kerbalkind. In Career Mode, oversee every aspect of the space program, including construction, strategy, funding, upgrades, and more. In Sandbox, you are free to build any spacecraft you can think of, with all parts and technology in the game.

Key Features

  • Build spaceships, rockets, and vehicles using any imaginable combination of parts, each with their own function that will affect the way your spacecraft behaves.
  • Take full control over your ship’s setup to execute complex flight maneuvers.
  • Manage your Kerbal crewmembers, including hiring, training, and sending them into space to become heroes.
  • Discover a whole star system with unique moons and planets, exploring detailed terrain at a vast scale.
  • Send your Kerbal crew outside their ships for “extra-vehicular” activities.
  • Dock spacecraft together to construct space stations, massive starships, and surface bases on new planets.
  • Use satellites to scan terrain and find biomes and other anomalies.
  • Set up communications networks to communicate between your spacecraft and Kerbal Space Center.
  • Research and develop new technologies to extract valuable information and resources from all over the solar system, and much more!

Steam Review: 10/10 – I Launched More Than Rockets Sometimes, it's not about escaping gravity — it's about escaping yourself. Years ago, I bought Kerbal Space Program during a sale, thinking it’d just be another fun game about rockets and explosions. I had no idea it would carry me through the darkest time of my life. Back then, I was lost. A series of personal losses had left me numb. I stopped talking to friends. Days blended together. I didn’t want to wake up — not because I wanted to die, but because I didn’t know how to live anymore. Then I launched my first rocket. It failed. Spectacularly. But in that failure, something sparked. I wanted to try again. I tweaked a fuel tank, adjusted a trajectory. Failed again. And again. And then… orbit. It was beautiful. Every launch became a tiny goal. Every failed mission, a lesson. I wasn't just building ships — I was rebuilding myself, one part at a time. Jebediah wasn’t just a smiling green astronaut — he was my ...

Kerbal Space Program was (and still is) an absolutely astounding, incredibly advanced and unique game, and I can't say there is anything quite like it even today. It is an unbelievable shame what happened to it, and Kerbal Space Program did not deserve this fate in the slightest. For those unaware, when Squad (the original developers) wanted to exit the video game industry, they sold off Kerbal Space Program to Private Division (owned by the contentious Take-Two Interactive). What followed was the announcement and eventual release of an massively hyped, incredibly expensive Early Access sequel in 2023 developed by Intercept Games under Private Division. This sequel, while promising long-requested features such as multiplayer, was incredibly tone-deaf to what made Kerbal Space Program popular in the first place, and focused heavily on monetisation through merchandise and tie-ins while releasing in an unfinished Early Access state at nearly full game price. As expected given the nature ...

For the record, I love Kerbal Space Program, I love what Squad had created and their visions of what Kerbal Space Program could have become. KSP is a finished game, and will give you hours worth of your time. This game has a very special place in my heart as the first game I ever purchased on steam. It taught me rocket science. It helped me escape from the stress of Highschool back then. However, Private Division, killed the project we all came to love and insult us with plushies with no explanations what so ever on what made them justify selling them. I'd rather encourage pirating the game at this point, because Private Division shut down Squad like they have... They don't deserve a dime unless they make unlikely amends to the damages they've done.

This game is amazing, i don't really use mods but I've seen videos with them and I recommend them. Its sad tho about KSP 2, if only it had actually worked. Imagine colonies, interstellar and multiplayer. Those would have been amazing. If you're reading this DO NOT BUY KSP 2. IT IS JUST A FIFTY DOLLAR GLITCH GAME

I've spent 130 hours in this game, the only thing I have done is blowing tears. I have a Kerbal up. More times than I want to admit. I'm no good at it. I can't play anything. But I like things to go boom. I thought NASA was pretty cool. I know now from Kerbal. I'd never work at NASA.

Great game but IP got bought up, tried to make a sequel which was a absolute mess and for all intend and purposes scammed people out of money then the project got canned. Now they are trying to sell merch to squeeze some more money out of a beloved IP. Yeah no, you can use your plush kerbals to wipe where the sun does not shine.

KSP1 is actually awesome. But what they did with this franchise and KSP2 is just absurd. Seriously don't even buy this, just find other means to play this game The money is not going to the devs anyway
