My Dream Setup

Pretty buggy. For example, if you hit ESC while editing a room, it just kicks you back to the main menu and you lose everything. Stuff like an interior window sill is missing too. The good part: workshop support is nice. But overall the whole thing feels way more complicated than it should be. A room planner could be super simple to use, but here you’re stuck with no search function for items in the shop, way too much clicking, and way too much hunting around. Gets frustrating fast.

Recommended with caveats! I had a lot of fun for this game and I still think of it fondly from time-to-time! With that said, the gameplay has some quirks that make My Dream Setup annoying sometimes. Once the quirks are known, they are easy enough to keep in mind while playing. Ultimately, I enjoyed the game enough to be content working around the quirks long enough to add it to my list of Perfect Games while building some rooms that I am already nostalgic for!

This game is great, but also terrible. Because now I want a triple‑monitor ultrawide setup IRL!

This game is very beautiful and relaxing. I loved it a lot — it’s fun, and it helps you unwind while enjoying the process of designing your house’s interior. I would love it even more if a garden DLC was added, along with more items and the ability to control the size of everything. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys interior design and relaxation.

Worth the price but the camera controls are really f**king weird. Also, the selection of items lacks non-modern items.
