Thought I was going to love this, as I like games that don't tell the player very much, and you're more or less left to your own devices to figure out how things work. See Rain World, Baba Is You, Outer Wilds, Hyper Light Drifter, Spelunky, Animal Well and Noita as some examples. Not a lot of common ground in those games, except for the fact that they tend to take a very hands-off approach to the player learning the game's mechanics and how to deal with them. Thought this game would follow a similar approach, and to some extent, it does. It does indeed explain very little about its mechanics, leaving the player to figure things out for themselves. The issue is that the game doesn't actually make any effort to make that kind of learning process fun or rewarding. There are four main reasons for this: The map is open ended, and multiple puzzles have different solutions that can lead to different outcomes. This wouldn't be so much of an issue if it wasn't for the next point: Tools are ...

This game really Anti's my Chamber
manifold garden meets outer wilds
If there's a puzzle game better than Portal, it's this one.
Just beat this game. It is hands down one of the best puzzle games I have ever played. I loved every moment of it. The range of geometric and topological ideas that are presented is just amazing.
After owning this game for years and beating it a handful of times, I should probably leave my thumbs up here. I don't typically come back to puzzle games, as they are usually a "one and done" affair. Not Antichamber. It is mind-bending puzzle solving that forces you to check "just one more thing" in every room. Make you double back every corner. Walk into so many walls, it feels like second nature. I wish this game got more attention, because it has earned every piece of praise it has gotten and then some. Play this, even if you've seen playthroughs. I promise you will still get stuck.
True masterpiece
An amazing puzzle game with really unique puzzles. I played through on steamdeck and don't be like my and turn on half rate shading. Worked and ran well on the deck
The most chill philosophical puzzle game. The seaside soundtrack perfectly complements the otherwise sterile design.
