This happens because: -Your existing allies cannot fully take care of themselves, forcing you to seek more. -When you add an ally to your group, you're forced to move into the body of that new ally. -If you transitioned into a Droid during a hectic moment, such as upon entering a map when you have the best selection of enemy Droids to hijack, there's a possibility your previous Droid will just wander into fire and die. These things are all a problem because: -There are armored Droids that must be faced with an upgraded or high-class Droid. -The only way to effectively upgrade a Droid is to pilot it. -The previous 2 points lead to favoring the player who is always piloting their best Droid, which can result in that best Droid dying or taking a lot of damage during the moments when you need to expand your pool of allies for safety.
