having absolutely loved the phoenix trilogy, i went into this trilogy with high hopes and expectations, but i hate to say i was extremely disappointed. this trilogy is inferior to the original in every single way, from the characters, to the writing, to the gimimcks, to even the concepts of the cases. some of it is of course purely subjective, but i strongly believe that a lot of it is just objectively bad too. having now played through the entire trilogy, i can confidently assure you that, most likely, this trilogy is not worth your time nor money in general: almost all the cases throughout this trilogy have some of the same issues. for one, the writing throughout the whole trilogy feels slow, repetitive and almost every case feels like it is dragged out unnecessarily long, partially because of bad writing, and partially because you are forced to watch a flashback to lines that were said mere minutes ago to an insane degree, making the pacing of these games dreadfully slow. anoth...

If you're a fan of this series, and you haven't played games 4, 5, or 6 on a Nintendo DS or 3DS before, then this game is for you. I've already played all three games before, on the 3DS, but I bought this so that I could get the achievements, and also so that I could see certain specific scenes in HD and on a PC.

I loved the original trilogy. Hence I got the sequel. At first I was having a lot of mixed feelings, some of the plot directions can be divisive. However it did grow on me. I ended up liking the 1st game a lot, it sure has left an impression on me. 2nd game takes a bit more unique direction too. 3D models, high quality cutscenes. This entry overall feels very experimentive. (I will update my review as I progress with the trilogy. ATM 1 out of 3 games beaten)

66 hours later, after finishing AA 5 & 6 (played apollo justice before the this came out) finally caught up on the entire series. The great ace attorney games were definitely my favorite. 4-6 here maybe don't reach the same highs but are absolutely worth playing through. Now, where is AA7 capcom??
