underrated. its perfect. and still being updated! i hope they add more realistic generated borders, they just did that for revolts. i want that for wars and it will be perfect, even more so if they add regions. and region prioritys, so there can be wars over past treaties. but even as it is you can make a great scenario, just you need a bit of player direction
this is not a good game, please allow mods that actually change the game in more significant ways, also make combat more realistic, and add leaders for countries
This game relieved me of my dictatorship urges 10/10 would invade again
Great game, Bolochistan conquered Afghanistan in one save and in another Malta conquered the world.
A great game for those who don't want the hassle of learning all the mechanics of games like HOI4, but still are interested in mapping/ world & war generation games. Creating custom maps can be generally quite difficult as there isnt really any way to for example: Put a reference image on the creation screen which you can draw over.
This game honestly sort of disappointed me. I was looking for something like Worldbox, but what I found was a bunch of paint colors fighting for the most land. I haven't done any research, and I've played this game for like > 10 minutes, but the income hardly even matters. I like the feeling of power I get from spawning in meteors in worldbox, and seeing the individual results of my actions in each human/elf/dwarf/ogre. I like making some units really powerful and giving them good weapons, and cursing other countries to see how they fare. This game would be so much better if it had more than just fighting efficiency. Add status effects like "preparing for war" or "amassing an army". Allow me to give them effects like "fearful of the enemy (-10% battle efficiency) or something like that. All I can do is just watch and see how it plays out. I find myself not really caring who wins because all I see is a blob of color on the screen. I understand that some people really enjoy this game...
Picture this: You buy like 20 ant farms, you start them out separate from each other, keeping them in different rooms in your house, and you let them grow and develop, BUT THEN! You make a connection that lets ALL 20 of these ant farms connect, and immediately they begin to HATE each other. They go to war, no one is spared, millions of ant dollars are spent on killing their enemies, some fall but fight for their freedom after a while. And through all of this, YOU just stand there, and watch everything unfold. Thousands, even MILLIONS, of dead ants across these tunnels, and you just laugh. That's basically this game.
really not for me unfortunately. Puddle deep simulation that is in fact not simulation at all, as all of the 'logic' of the game that matters is RNG based. I simply cannot understand why I should spend time designing scenarios just to see them played out with dice rolls instead of any kind of strategic logic. So what you are left with is a map painting game, literally. Idk, boring.
This game is a must-have if you have a hyperfixation for map painting or map games in general. You can observe and create world maps super easily, all without the need of modding or managing an economy!
